This is a thread for people discuss their opinions about who will rise to be the enxt super power of the world, or if at all.
USA as everyone knows is the current world super power but what do you think will happen to it? undoubtably Britain was the worlds greatest super power in history, which eventually declined, so can the same thing happen to the US?
I think a decline of the USA and rise of the economy of China are inevatable, but weither they become a super power is an issue.
Discuss. Don't just post a countries name. Justify your opinion which mature answers. Not some country fanboy reply like " USA r0xors and will rule the world forever!"

According to The Times of India newspaper - one of the most read newspapers in India, China will have a great impact on the world by 2020 and will match USA in every aspects and will overtake Superpower status by 2020 itself.

The finding was none other than the FBI of the USA. The measurement was done according to the strength in various fields - including economy, military, infrastructure, etc. Unlike the era of Britannica in modern's world SIZE of a country matters alot the finding says.

And by 2050 India will overtake it from China. Though USA will continue to have influence to other countries it won't be able to bully around other countries like it does today, the finding also says.

EU is another dominant factor to reckon with, but clubbing many countries under one roof will not have so much strength like a unified one country with the same size of EU like India and China, the finding continues. EU will be in fact pull by its own pressure within and will only be able to maintain only its equilibrium.

So, the next 20 years a very different poticial scenario will emerge in the world.

China may pump its communist propoganda throughout the globe, but without a doubt, the one country that will remain untarnished is LUXEMBOURG. Yes people, LUXEMBOURG. Home to the world's highest GDP per capita, LUXEMBOURG will inevitably rise to the occasion and tame the Big Red with its supernatural abilities. Don't ask questions, just take my word for it!

Yeah. And then Luxembourg will form a SUPERUNION with Andorra, Monaco, Lichtenstein and San Marino! It's so obvious now, I don't understand why I didn't see it before!

Anyway, I think both India and China have good chances of becoming powerful eventually. Both are big countries with lots of people in it, and both are getting more and more economic power.

Definetely India and China will have lasting impacts on the world. India and China both have rapidly growing tech industired (India for example, Google has hired many people from India to work for them.). Thse two countries each have over a billion people in population. A India is projected to have the largest population in the world by 2015. They also nuclear development and nuclear power plants. And adding the population together, they make up 30% of the worlds total populaton.

It is simple people. Keep work in the USA. Stop making other countries rich and strong. Greed is an extreme problem here. US companies continue to outsource. KNOCK IT OFF !!! ASAP before its too late and we all end up paying the ultimate price.

Don't be foolish, China and India will never be Super Power. They are third world countries and will stay like that. Don't forget China export most of their weapons from France and India nuclear program in under british control. so they are still some colonies where you can get cheap labor. Its obvious France and Germany will form one nation, the US, Uk and Canada another. Thus isolating Russia. Russia will become a third world countries in the next coming years since the oil wont have an economic impact no more.

It's seems possible that china may indeed become a super power ,but even if they don't China is a country that we shouldn't ignore.

I'd definitely believe that India could eventually become the world's superpower. There have been several things thay've been working on over there that would re-inforce that theory.

RUSSIAN FEDERATION will always be the greates power in the world because the world will be a mess right now if it wouldent be fore RUSSIA (CCCP)__ USSR because russia destroyed the otoma empire russia wan the word wor 1 russia wan the world wor 2 we should all be thenkful fore russia and its people because that nation (ussr) sacrofised the most people in the world so the world can be a free planed from germans and live a good life because the history says if germany wouldov take control of USSR they wouldov go agenst the hole world and controled because germans plan wase to have german language all over the world and kill all people exept germans but russia stoped them and destroyed so we all have to be thenkful fore russia or the greates power of all USSR (CCCP)

The Next World Super Power?

I will repeat it again as the United States has officially announced Russia's influence to the world and that is...

Russia is a superpower for many reason, they have the world's largest nuclear weapon arsenal that is 10 times greater than the US, Russia's economy is also stronger than the US as BBC news reported this recently. Third they are an energy super giant and their military has been continuing to update in all forces of the 21 century weapons compared to the US and they have every domain of power in ideological, diplomatic and technological fronts. Russia is a superpower because they have the economics, the wealth, the diplomatic power, ideological, technological advances than any other country besides the US, they have the cultural sector and lets not forget their military levels (surpreme).

Russia has three countries that are still heavy part of Russia after the Soviet Union and that is Kazakhstan, Ukraine (NATO member) and Belarus. There is many ties these countries have together and also Georgia is very pro Russia and doesn't care for NATO nor does Belarus want anything to due with NATO either. The fact that Russia is a superpower without it's past Soviet countries is a lot to say how strong Russia is. Belarus will do anything Russia wants even if it was hand over invasion back to the Russian Union but Putin has a different plan than bringing back the Soviet Union. The bottom line is Post Soviet countries have very important ties with Russia than the West does. Russia supplies all of West Europe their oil but the post soviet countries it is more than that Russia has. Oil is one thing but land rights, basis, military forces and etc all still tied in many post soviet countries.

Russia is making plans and they can with or without China but China is also another story want it wants from Russia.

If any of you heard the News on CoasttoCoast radio last night with George Noory, NASA is going bankrupt and does not have the funds to complete the International Space Station as Russia was suppose to complete 40% of the station as they are planning their moon space station for 2015 on top of that. They may either need to help the complete the station or the station will go into limbo without the Russianï¿½s to fix the US contract to finish it. The US Space shuttle is an outdated program that even the X-43 program went bankrupt and the US shuttle is just too expensive. A shuttle that takes a crew of 5 people to operate where the Russia space shuttle can fly unmanned and also dismantle its wings in space and attaching into the space station as a counterpart to the station. The Russians have flow more manned space missions that the numbers are impossible to beat that even the current Soyuz rocket has an 95% prefect record (has flown more than 520 missions). I just find it interesting when Russia was in the down in the 90ï¿½s but they still preformed their space missions and building nuclear arsenals but now they regained their superpower status again officially when it is expensive to improve military capability and continue space flights, how did they do it?

The US is on an economic plunge as many of us can admit this, not just housing, high gas prices and bad inflation rates but the UNited States is really falling where Russia is greatly improving. You see our problems with illegal immigratments entering the US and corporations continuing to outsource for cheaper labor overseas because the US labor is too expensive, we canï¿½t even afford to fix our immigration problems not just the borders but the internal problems. What is unique about Russia, they donï¿½t have an immigration problem at all, everyone who is not a Russian citizen has to have an entry visa, everyone and anything. The US is broken in so many ways that thr problems they have now will never be fixed as US Congress is out weight with heavy debt and discrimination suits that
Kill legislation as it is a democracy country allowing
Free will but also with major inflation as the US Federal Reserve can no longer stop inflation will see
More US agencies going under and more US companies will continue to outsource from high US wages increase.

The bottom line is the US is tanking and it's economy is going the opposite direction as a Superpower but to a Power Nation or 2nd Power.

I also wanted to state Russia is completely debt free as they cleared all their past deficits as the US is under it's biggest debt ever

Usa is corrapted and is bankropet and it cant strech its muscles no more they also run out of solders and peopl ein usa don't have jobs this days you can even se in news every day that people don't have jobs food place to live and homles people number increases.. China will become a super power but wount be #1 they will be #2 they are gething strong because they ways millions so they can buy russian military same as india and iran they are the top # countrys that buy most russian military... RUSSIAN FEDERATION will become the main super power in 2012 from usa top goverment news they have every opertunedy to be a main super power because of its land and resorces and som times russia even overtakes soudy arabia on oil and russian federation economy grwos rilly fast and buy 2015 russian gole to be top 5 economyc countrys because russia now became fastest economys country grwoth in may 2008.
