| | I have read in the news paper, a local news here in the philippines that during the convention at singapore, Bill Gates says "New technology soon to be implanted in the human body, but I will not try this experimentation in myself.."
Is it possible the somebody is working to implant computer in the human body? Wow,,, very interesting, but do you think this will help us? if the computer is inside our body, what does the computer do? maybe instead of using our mind the computer will think for you... ha ha ha... that will makes us a robot...
If this will happen, if bill gates is working to it... Well, I really be a big difference and adjustment on all people like us,,, Do you want to try it for yourself, Me I don't like to have computer inside my body... ...
Anyway, have any of you guys read the article about this topic? please give me the links where I can go to it... |

This "merging" of technology with our bodies has more then just one aspect. Can be good. AS BuffaloHELP said, they can/could heal you from different diseases and help your body. With this help our lives would be much longer, because our body would not have to work that much because of the nanobots. And because of this we will not be such vulnerable infront of different diseases, but what about for viruses? I mean, computer viruses!! If that would happen, we'll became like computers, every year or maybe two we'll have to go at the service to renew the software, maybe instal some new hardware (new versions of nanocomputers/robots). And we can be the possible targets of hackers. That sounds weird, but could happen. Someone to hack my body and then start controling me?!!! no way! And if we start using this technology in our bodies, than terrorist would have an easy job to kill many people. Just establish a connection with the help of this things in our bodies and zap, we're dead. Ok, ok that's more science fiction then else, but can became true in a couple of years, because of fast developing technology.

Where does it stop though? At this rate, why bother going though the pleasure of having a baby, when you can just go and buy a machine. To help cure a disease fair enough, but, and don't get me wrong, I'm not wierd!  , are we going to save every single soul out there. Will we keep out birth rate up at the same time too? Where is everyone going to work? Live? Eat? Unless we get the 'good' people from NASA to find us another planet, we will be overflowing with people. Where i live, we are losing all our planet/trees due to housing expandure, and its getting worse! Wait, maybe i am wired...  Tuddy

omg that would crazy.. I keep thinking of new forms of virus. People will try to really hack into our system. That would be crazy. They could track people down quicker.. Talk about invasion of space. Smh the govt would try and get their sticky fingers on it. This would be for the worse of man kind

Even if its possible, I won't put a Microsoft OS into my brain... I don't wanna get hacked and store my dreams from my sleep to the registry... Worst still, the OS just hangs there.. then I'm 'dead'...

Every movie about smart robots always leads to some sort of an apocalypse... I,Robot, and Blade Runner that whole prolouge about how it happened... none of them ended up good. I dont think its a great idea, but it'll help. I dont want all of my information to be in a computer...

Well, is not something new the probable fact that we will have some kind of microchip inside us... just to be detected everywhere and who knows... maybe some more with years. It´s an awful idea but sadly I think it will be obligatory in the future to be a citizen... just like carrying a ID. It sounds apocalyptic yes, because it is  And worst of all, it will work with microsoft technology. Sure we will go crazy. I will commit suicide before this happens

Hmmm, Windows XP Home, Professional, Male and Female. A worrying thought. Then again, crime will be wiped out as every felon will be stopped for commiting 'an illegal operation'. However, life could get tedious, being asked 'Are you sure?' at every available opportunity. Joking aside, I don't think its a very good idea to start filling people with computers unless absolutely necessary (e.g. to help cure a disability). People are already dependant enough on computers as it is, without them being a life or death situation for everyone. What if they crash? Or get a virus? The government here in England will love the idea of adding computers to people, to track their every move and action. Yes, OK, I'm being slightly pessimistic and cynical, but people are not going to want to have microchips inside them, literally running their lives. I am already thinking of leaving the country if compulsary ID cards are introduced, and if computer chips are made compulsary too in the future that will encourage me to move again. Why is everyone in any vague form of power so desperate to get even more control over the people under them?

No, i dont think that is real, tey dont understand enough about the brain, to implement a computer, that will do anything useful, i mean, technology means that blind people can have images sent to their brain ect, but a computer like what your talkng about.... in your head or body? No. This is just one oftose stupid rumor...

Hey guys, imagine this: If not a computer we should have a small chip in us say at the back of the hand that will store our identity. So there will be no need of passports and other documents to prove your identity. since everyone will have a single chip implanted since birth, there will be no scams relating to forged passports and stuff. You can go to a gas station, refill your automobile, pass your hand over some scanner and you will be billed automatically. Crime could be easily controlled. Have sensors all over the grocery store. Once you know who the culprit is, you could track him down via satellite!! In case of a kidnap, track down the kidnapped and the ones who are with the kidnapped. There would be no Osama hidding in some godforsaken place. Nobody would want a computer to be running their lives. But having such a chip will definately help us. And all this can be realised in teh near future!!

Well I don't know if there are any people who are watching or have watched Star Trek but nontheless you may have saw how powerful Borg is and what are they capable of doing. So we may improve our civilization in case if we start making implants because we may just start thinking that it is not enough and that evolution process is too slow for us. However, this might also have some problems security and so on. What if we start implanting chips in people brains and so on. And what if some hacker make virus and sends it on internet and this virus start spreading around among people making them crazy or his slaves and whateveer scenario might happen what do you think might happen then. It might as well present the end of world known to us or even the end of life and civilization itself or the way we know it. So I suggest that whenever someone starts thinking about implanting chips and other cyborg implants into humans it should first make sure that communication is one way that is. Person can send information but it cannot recieve it this would make it much easier and safer wouldn't you agree it???
