Well I have a new site online, it's nothing fancy but maybe some poeple like the idea: basically it is a modified guestbook, anybody can post, without being registered, and poeple can comment on the posts, but it is definetly not a forum, whoever feels like randomly shouting something can. That site of you seems cool, but I want to know what will be added to that site? Will there be a gallery? Some games? I think it looks cool so far. Update it, so we can see!

you have a good basic idea but the website is rusty sweat it up with links to good web designing sites like w3schools and template sites. Because if you add something in there that will make people come you better the chances of people posting there also.

Nice idea for a website, very simple and direct. I wish I had thought of it before. I like the the way the site looks, nice and clean against a white background. I assume you coded the script for this as well? I like it. Maybe in time it'll have a lot of traffic and the site will have topics organized into different categories. But then that would make it seem like a forum, right? But I like it.

Well, I think you could put more contents. I don't think users will come back just for shouting. Shoutbox has been part or just one part/module of the many modules offered in many content management systems from php-nuke to joomla - the latest cms. And so, at first thought I thought it was a waste to have shoutbox filling the main content.

But at the second thought I am thinking to myself this is a good different way to attempt something new. I hope more members to comment your site. Keep it up.

Well I personally wouldn't go to that site daily because I really have no need. I think maybe once you try and get that going you can expand and add more to the site and just make that like a feature like it is on the forums here. I use the shoutbox here when I'm not posting because it's fun to talk but there is also other things to do.

As for the site itself, I like the design, it is a little plain but it doesn't really need more it looks fine the way it is. Nice job.

No I didn't write the script myself, it is from vipergb.de.vu, with modifications from me. As far as the concept goes, even though a shoutbox and Shout it out! have commonalities in name they're are very different in concept: while a shoutbox is more chatlike with poeple talking almost realtime, the idea of shout it out! is not real time communication, rather each shout could be seen as a blog-entry, the shouter can write wahtever he likes and poeple have the option to comment on each shout, what makes it diferent from a blog however is that everybody is able to shout. I'm hoping that this encourages a divers aray of shouts and eventually shouts with more content than 2 sentences. I'm not expecting too much from the start but I hope that eventuallythe content of the shouts will become more and more important.

Anyways, thanks for all the feedback, always open for more ideas!

I think that site is very cool.
Three things that would make me come back:
1. Sonething to keep interest up, like an array of fun minigames of something, maybe a "Hilarious Shout Of The Week" Rank or "Most Serious Shout"? - I think thatd be a cool idea
2. Is it really necessary to display the posters' IP adress? I'm not sure if this is a risk or something but it doesn't seem wholely purposeful.
3. Maybe give people an option to display a cool graphic (small dimensions of course) or something alng those lines in their post
4. (just noticed and this is a fourth one! but this may be fairly vital and important for you! - in your disclaimer you said "in order to cpmply with the guidelines of the law" or something along those lines and you had spelt guidelines wrong!... so you might wanna correct that pretty quick ;D

overall a nice site, easy on the eyes, whilst not looking bland too!
