| | Hi, I've just got a domain name and paid webhosting for one of my sites, http://www.global-rs.com/.
This was done on monday last week (sept 26th)... But still nothing on google, even if there are lots of link to my site...
Then I checked on Yahoo!. Two of the pages in my site appeared in Yahoo!, but not the main page... Strange... Yahoo has at least seen my site...
Then, I checked on MSN Search. Wow! 77 of my pages are listed.
What's happening to google? They are obviously slower than the other engines now, or is it something else? And how can I manage to appear in Google? |

Your site isn't bad. It'll get a great rank. But still looking at it, I don't see what it's about. When people open up the site, it should be very straight forward, showing them what the site is all about.

it's impossible for a new site to be appear in google ... let alone the search engine result page ... if you are lucky enough .. you can get out of the sandbox for 2 months .. if not it will normally take up more than 1 year to come out from the sand box ... it's a anti-spam algorithm used by google to prevent new spam site .. and looking at the domain age and linking ..

Oh just a question about the google's sandbox... Is it listed even if it is in the sandbox? And if yes, then my site should appear when searching "site:www.global-rs.com" or "site:global-rs.com", but well, it still doesn't.

The last time i submitted a site to google it took longer than a week for it to show up. I mean techinically it can take a week if your lucky enough to be spidered right after you submit but i've had sites that have taken up to a month or so befor the url appears.round

Google doesn't automatically pick up everything. You should submit your site to Google Sites. Google usually needs a few days to crawl the web and pick up new/updated sites. It might appear in a bit. Just me patient

Submitting your site to Google and using Google Analytics/Google SiteMaps will help. I recommend you try those techniques. It can take up to 5 months for something to appear on Google.

Well, this is what I have done, so people won't suggest it tons of times again : - The site does not have any programming error and is in valid HTML / CSS - I have submitted my site manually to the major search engine - I have used submission services such as www.addme.com - I have many (over 30-40) incoming links, and it is in my signature on most forums I use. - The site is updated pretty often - The keywords, such as "RuneScape" and "skill" appears often. From my point of view, it's both good written for search engines and visitors - Very good content (as mentioned above) - Submitted the site to Google Sitemaps - I have a standard HTML sitemap in addition to the XML one - I'm even using Google Adsense, and they don't even index me!  And, lastly, probably one of the most important things: The site has been online for quite a while now.

the page of my project in particular, are getting tens of thousands of hits. However, GoogleAdsense
is only reporting a handful of impressions and clickthroughs, which is data inconsistent with the
figures from our web servers. Our pages use Ajax for tabbed content within a page, and often those
tabs contain Flash content. How does this affect Google's reporting software? Is there code that
needs to be included in the Ajax or ActionScript to pass the proper 'hit&#....

I Can't Access My Site
(2) Hello I can't access my site, a200.trap17.com, (ignore the default trap17 default page on it)
but others can? I actually can access it if I go via a proxy, but directly I cannot... I can't
successfully ping it either. I can access it at school and under any other internet connection, so
I believe it is my ISP issue (I cant access gamma.xisto.com so it might be the whole server I cant
get to). How can I resolve it? I don't know... I have tried flushing my DNS and that does not
