Some of you have seen me either on Trap17 or on IPBGaming trying to get some assisstance in order to successfully start up a new forum. Well, I have finished it, finally! Actually, yesterday things got messed up with my database somehow got deleted, so I had to start completely over . But all is good and well, at least for me.

My forum is geared towards a local professional hockey team, the Johnstown Chiefs. Their website once held a forum of their own, but it was taken down in light of heavy criticism that members posted towards the team and its front office.

So in turn, I have started one up. I also have a homepage with general content, but that is not my focus.

So check it out and comment on what you like and don't like. Even join the forum so it gets a nice little jumpstart on things. The more members, the faster hockey fans from the league will join when they first visit the forum.

And once again, a special thanks to biscuitrat who made the banner. It looks pretty good, doesn't it?

Yeah, it is a nice banner. I'd place that center though. In my screen, there's left over red portion at the right hand side. I like the golden yellow than the bright yellow you used initially. And I can see that you muted out the red color as well. Nice choice. But you know, the text can be brighter. I know you are trying to keep the theme going but perhaps visibility should be important as well. How about using the bright yellow for the text that are golden yellow? And that goes same with red text. I still feel that black can be in the lighter shade. I think the forum titles, "Important Forum Information!!!, Rate the Forum, Introductions, Chiefs Hockey...etc" should be in bold as well.

But hey, it's your forum and not mine Don't let this novice tell you something that does not make sense. It looks very clean and sharp! Good job.

Thanks for the advice, actions already taken. The red you saw at the top was the background for the banner area. I simply changed the background to white and it looks better.

well,ur forum looks nice,so many colorful border making for it.espesially the top banner looks pretty.you should to be hot your board by attacting more members like your friend and classmates.good luck...

Thank you for the compliments, but thank biscuitrat for the banner. Nicely done, and yeah, I hope to get some members, but hey, it's the offseason and it's minor league hockey, so it may be slow, but whomever wants to join for the heck of it feel free.

Your forum is very nice, but i don't really like the color of the skin. The top banner is really nice though.

Also maybe you can adjust the width? Like make the width say 700 px or something instead of having it streached out... it looks better that way ^__^

well, theres alot of good features in your forum and its all well organised.
the fan pics section is nice
One grudge though, is the skin. The white background is quite boring, as everything contrasts it alot. The black title bars and red text seems a bit ugly in my opinion, and same goes for the red title bar and yellow text. reminds me of a hotdog (ketchup and mustard lol)

The banner at the top looks alrite too

another suggetsion would be to change the order of your modules, so your news is just under the Welcome section. Because the news is quite important, and you wouldnt know it was there unless you scroll right down. The other stat modules arnt as important as news in my opinion.

Thanks goosestaf for your input. As for the criticism of the skin, what do you think I could do to improve it. I looked at skins to import, but none look good in relation to the team's colors, so I had to do a skin myself.

Thanks for the compliment on the banner, Biscuitrat took the time to make it for me .

I can re-order the modules, in due time I'll find what's best, I'm still reorganizing things everyday.

I added in an arcade with around 50 games and my own "army system" game and modified it to be a hockey "army system". It's essentially the same AS mod we all play here at Trap17 but it has a hockey theme instead.

So thanks again for the feedback and hope to hear from others as well, even drop by to play a game or two while you inspect my work
