pretty good specifications! I have a few questions? what's a mobo? If you are getting so much good stuff why not get a 120 GB HDD instead. I also recommend using Maxtor hard drives. You should get ATI because of graphics unless you hate configurating your own graphic card then go for NVIDIA. Please also note that you need Windows XP 64-bit in order to run it on this machine. If not, get Linux. Fedora core has a 64-bit version! I hope this helps  xboxrulz

How much did all that cost? Im just wondering because i have been thinking about building my own computer but i havent really researched it like i should have  . I dont mean to get into your personal business but i was just hoping that you could give me a spec on wha tit would cost me if you can then thanks a lot.

btw.. what will it be used for, Final)arkJon? for server or just client or stand alone PC? If its for server i recomend linus as xboxrulz's said. but if just for client/stand alone PC, what application do u need? game, internet or just office tools? if u are a gamer, that spec is enough for current. but if just office app, thats more than just enough.

thats some good specs, at last someone who knows what they are talking about  Nvidia 6600GT is an awesome card, I'll buy that over the 9600 for sure. The 9600s are old, really old now, unless you go for a x700 or something (which you can't really find around)

Linux is good for servers, office workstations (as in you are not playing games on it, both for home or office work), multimedia station, XBOX consoles, network stations and whatever computer use you can think of except gaming since there's not much support yet. xboxrulz

i dont need 64bit edition xp... im on it right now! i just used regular 32 bit xp. you can use either with any athlon 64. i really dont need 120gb, to me ill never use it. it cost me about 720 bucks with shipping, so not so bad  im mainly gaming as a standalone pc in my room... so it fits my needs perfectly temps-(air cooling) fulll load- proc-47c mobo-33c idle- proc-40c mobo-30 id say these are exellent considering air cooling with the fan/heatsink that came with the proc...

So did you do a test on your new computer to see how it works? like superPI, a lot of people did the test with their own machine, and you can compare your score with the scores of similar machines to see if your hardwire works well together, or whether your windows is well configed and optimized.

first of all mobo is mother board.. and second i like the specs of that.....here is what i run AMD Sempron 3100+ 512MB DDR PC3200 WD 80GB 7200RPM HD w/ 8MB cache (sata) Nvidia GeForce FX 5700 and thats about it unless i missed something my OS is Windows XP PRO Corporate Edition Build 2600 Final v5.1

I like the second one the best just for the fact that there is a fan that would be blowing the heat off the stack, that would be nice i might have to get one of them, im tired of my loud a$$ heatsink.

I use a heatpipe cooler for my video card, from Thermaltake it works really good. i would send you a link to it but i cant find one.

yes the motherboard definately goes good with the case lol. i have a cold cathode light thats uv, so i might get some uv wires but the purplish stuff looks awsome! im runnin at ok temps, 50load and 40load on mobo, thats mega full! so im ok i guess. i may get a new heat sink bc the one it came with is only the dimensions of the mount. so it really isnt that good of a heatsink so i was thinking of heatpipe... how do those cool.. i cant afford water lol! ^ thx jon

I dont know if that case has a window, i need to look into that case. My new computer im building will just have an Asus K8N, good reliability but not very flashy. if i have money later on this year ill make another with pure acrylic case and real nice parts, a bunch of UV lights and UV reactive parts. Maybe ill also shove one of those flashy controllers for fans in the front, they make the computer look so cool

Decent Computer

Can't Start Up My Computer
(6) I can't start up my computer. When I switch it on, it just goes to a blank screen, or sometimes,
it will go to the Blue Screen of Death, and the message on it changes every time, so I don't
even know how to solve it. I've gotten the Page Fault In Non Paged Area error a couple of times.
I tried to boot my computer from my Windows XP Service Pack 1 CD, but after running it and repairing
Windows XP, the problem isn't solved. I've also tried to start my computer from safe mode
but it still shows the BSOD. I don't even know how it happened. I didn'....

Unsolved Computer Issue
(7) I've posted this at another forum and they've pulled a blank on what it could possibly be...
For the past three weeks, my computers have not been able to see one certain web domain. I have 3
computers running on a wireless network with a belkin router and one computer as the provider for
the internet to the router via a wired port. This website use to be accessable by each of the
computers and one day I woke up and it says the server cannot be found. My friend who is being
provided internet by centurytel the same as I am is able to view this site and I am not....

New Computer, Help With Parts?
(12) so you may have heard that my pc died a while back, i was trying to see if anybody in this forum
knew how to fix it lol. anyway, i've now decided to replace some parts in it, a simple upgrade.

Is it better? (7) What do you think of the widescreen display laptops are beginning to adopt nowadays? Is that the
right way to go? Or should we stick to our original display (800 * 600, 1024 * 768 ... etc) instead

Computer Is Slowing Down And Skipping
Every program, even windows has lag.... (12) My computer has been slowly getting slower by the moment, I have no current internet connection but
I've had one before. I've ran every anti-virus program I could think off. It seemed to speed

Strange Thing Happened To My Computer

Computer Problems - Hanging/crashing
