I was just curious as to what hte purpose of name servers is?

for pointing of a domain name (.com, .net, etc.) to a professional web host (like trap17).

ok .. i would like some help here ..
see .. if i enter the server of trap17 into the nameservers and followed by other server(host) .. will the next server be my back-up website if trap17 is downed?

i oso need to inform the trap17 and the other host for the domain name izzit ?
