Well i have had this phone for quite sometime now and it is fairly newer. I beleive that it was one of the best investments that i have made so far. The phone comes with a camera, 10 sec video recorder, bluetooth, long battery life and much more! Well just take a look at this review that i got from Pcmag.com it should tell you all you need to know.

Cingular subscribers, we've found your phone. The Motorola V551 is an attractive phone that works well, has the features you want, and is available at a price you can afford. This brilliantly balanced combination makes it our Editor's Choice for feature-rich phones.

In most ways, the V551 is just like the company's fine V505. Slight design changes include a metal front that is now subtly grooved instead of stippled, making the phone seem more stylish and less industrial. The bright color screen is the same, as are the excellent signal and speaker quality. The buttons are big, easy to press, and backlit.

The V551's still camera doesn't quite match up to the V505's. Photos were a little brighter and bluer than the V505's, but they were still in the top rank of VGA camera phones. (See our camera phone gallery for comparison.) The V551 adds a video camera capable of capturing choppy 30-second videos; the phone's 6MB memory holds about 150 pictures or 12 30-second clips.

The V551 also supports EDGE, doubling the V505's speed for sending photos, picking up e-mail, and connecting to laptops as a modem. Using a laptop and a Bluetooth connection, we got slightly faster than dialup speeds uploading and downloading ZIP files. The handset's EDGE speeds were in line with other EDGE handsets we've tried.

A basic POP3/IMAP4 e-mail client is another welcome addition. The V551 shares the V505's excellent Bluetooth support, AIM client, and so-so gaming performance. With Motorola's $29.99 Mobile Phone Tools software, you can sync the phone's contacts and calendar with Microsoft Outlook.

There are a few features, like external picture caller ID and speaker-independent voice dialing, that we wish were on the V551. And sure, Cingular's more expensive phones, like the Siemens S66, Nokia 6620, Nokia 7610, and Motorola MPx220, outmatch the V551 in terms of features. But for the average Cingular subscriber who wants to make calls anywhere in the world, play Bejeweled, occasionally snap photos, and maybe check IMs or e-mail, the V551 is a very good choice.

Jbenchmark 2: 1203

Battery results:
Continuous talk time: 8 hours 27 minutes

I must say I've had this phone for a couple of months now and am still trying hard to be impressed. I love the phone itself, but I have had nothing by trouble with my cell service ever since I switched over to the V551. I drop about 80-90% of my calls, some after a couple of minutes and some after ten or more. I would blame it on Cingular, but my phone drops with even a half-full signal. Cingular has switched out our phones once and we are waiting for tech support to get back to us on what they will do next. Even with the problems, I am reluctant to give up my V551 though since I also invested in bluetooth for it.

    motorola razr (13)
hi, i got this new phone its a motorola razr. Its the one where you can play mp3 songs on and you
can copy music files from your computer. I tried doing that, copying the files from my computer the
the phone but its not working. I was using a sim card that is used by another phone, which is also a
motorola razt but older version. could that be a problem? also, are there like any programs you can

http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/index.php ModMyMoto is a very cool site that has tons of
different things for your phone. You can download themes, games, & even different programs to make
your phone unique. I found this site after I got my new Motorola Slvr because I was looking for
different themes to put on my phone. Use this site at your own risk because if you mess up your

  5. Motorola Razr
Is the RAZR any good? (10)
I recently got a Motorola RAZR on the "Couples Plan" from Cingular Wireless for myself and my wife.
Not to criticize Motorola or Cingular, but besides being the thinnest phone on the market, is the
Motorola RAZR any good? Honestly, I do believe that it has a wonderful sleek design, and that the
system and applications that it runs on is state-of-the-art, but I do not know if I would recommend
it to any other person. If the RAZR excells in any category, it would be design, or applications. If
there are any other Motorola RAZR users, can they please tell me their views on ....

Hm not so sure if this is the right section but this is what i think it fits best in. Anyways i
recently got the Motorola V3x which is a better version of that really slim black Razr that you see
in the ads all the time. As for design its not nearly as thing and not really black either(well
mine) but i think what ithas inside it really makes up for that. (you know. inner values are the

I keep hearing commercials for the ROKR from cingular. They say that it has iTunes, and can hold a

Does anyone have a Motorola v265? I found that phone a little disapointing... It has the standard

I'm sorry, but I don't know if I'm looking at the wrong wap sites or something, or maybe
my phone isn't capable of downloading any free ringtones or something. I have a Motorola V220
with cingular, and I've tried three different sites and keep getting a 500 or 502/503 error.
