| | 2 things. what is it, and how do i disable it. because it is affecting smf and its extremely annoying.
when i am in the installer for smf, it says that it cant proceed because of mod_security. it gives a fix, but it doesnt seem to work. |

Mod_security is an Apache Server Module according to the php_info for the trap17 Hosting server (gamma). It acts like a firewall/security module for the Server.
Possibly you need to submit an email to support@xisto.com to seek assistance with this difficulty.

I was looking around at the posts in the free hosting request section (just for fun), and noticed a
major problem with the applications. For every application that is made, the email address of that
applicant is shown to the world, including SPAMBOTS!!! This is a major flaw in the

Ok mods...you can move this post if you want to. I really did not know where to post it. I am
concerned. The past week or so, my page views have skyrocketed. But what is interesting, the
number of unique visitors has not changed. And sure, I want the traffic. But it was such a
dramatic increase, I don't think that my visitors were just viewing more pages. (It was about
10X the number of page views I usually get). Any ideas what this is? Sunkist...
