Microsoft Windows Bill Gates Edition?

TripleH13
I hadn't heard anything about it. But it is a very intresting marketing idea. I wonder if the Bill Gates edition would have anything special other than Bill Gates autograph. It would still be really cool to stay you had the Bill Gates edition of Windows Vista.

I hear this before and I think its just a rumor a.k.a a very bad lie. First of all:

1. If they had acces to his computer, how did they get the installer? Example if you have a image file (.iso), and you install it then you get all different file's compared to the one in the iso file.

2. If they would have it, why didnt they release it in the crackers scene?

3. Where is the screenshot people asked for it.

cant be real. google has only 4 results of "microsoft bill gates edition" and 2 of them are here.
get me a screenshot. if he does hav it i would def get it from him and try it out
he prob just put up a bill gates bootloader screen and some wallpaper or mabe bill gates on the start menu. not hard to do
i highly doubt he has anything of the sort and even if he does it prob isnt installable on another computer.

i heard that some peaple have microsoft windows bill gates edition and it is used by bill gates(creator of microsoft),
they said they cracked it from bill gates computer is this true? sad.gif because my freind was going to give it to me and i thought it might have viruses or somethin init. it might just be a program that some hackers made so microsoft is available to users or it might just be bill gates edition microsoft. what is your opinion? huh.gif

sounds fake

I think it is just a hoax or maybe there is one but it just might be a bit more shinier than our Windows or something of that sorts.

I guess it is advisable though for you not to accept it as it might be a virus like you pointed out. But it does sound hilarious...Bill's Windows H ah ah

but why would bill gates need his own version of microsoft when he made microsoft it self unless he wants to keep his comp. away from hackers lol

Aww guys.. people have now created a hype about this edition of bill gates. Lol.. basically i did get my hands on this version when i was instaling a fresh windows in my friends computers. This bill gates edition was first seen by me in the times of windows 98. The came the version in Windows Me and others. Basically what the bill gates edition did, to my best knowledge was the create an unattended installation of the windows. Nothing was to be done except starting the setup. The key and other things were done automatically by default values and since unattended installation was not that much common here, they gave it the name of bill gates edition to market the cd's more and get more buyers out of it. we don't really have normal windows xp media kits bought from the microsoft. We mostly have botlegged cd's here at the cost of less than a dollar here per cd and around a dollar per dvd regardless the matter in it.

yea, I bet its just a style to make it look like a Bill Gates Edition, because i have searched and searched and i cant find anything on a Bill Gates Edition
(not to mention I goto the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference every year and have heard nothing about it)

` I think it is just a hoax by hackers to distribute their OS. It is improbable that Bill will get a special OS for him and will not sell it to make money. May be it has just some cosmetic features....
But to say the least it sounds like a great JOKE.
Do not install install it if your friend is a hacker/salesman.May be he is trying to use your computer for testing his OS. lol
