| | The same thing happened with Rockstar if you recall back a couple of years they got in trouble for a sex scene that appeared in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. But, that was different. That was an X-Rated Scene while in Mass Effect, it was just an alien and a human hugging. Come' on..... Anyway, maybe that have stricter gaming laws over there! |

I believe that it should not be banned, if it contained a sex scene it would be Rated M, it would then be up to the Parents to either let their child view it/play the video game or not, the pressure shouldn't be put on the company that makes it/sells it (losing em millions of dollers ).

Lol, naughty naughty Microsoft. Singapore are far to scrit, my friends play that game, no complaints about the sex scene. Not even a mention of it. This means it's not that explict then.

I haven't played the game, but i watched the video on YouTube. I find it rather nice "directed"... there isn't much nudity involved. I don't really understand why the Singapore government banned it. They must be over-reacting. I remember years ago a scene like the one from Mass Effect in Mafia (by the way what a great game that was and what a great storyline it had... it does deserve a comeback) and no one complained about that. And besides there are games with a lot more important reasons to get banned like Manhunt....

QUOTE(Tweek @ Dec 6 2007, 05:04 AM) I believe that it should not be banned, if it contained a sex scene it would be Rated M, it would then be up to the Parents to either let their child view it/play the video game or not, the pressure shouldn't be put on the company that makes it/sells it (losing em millions of dollers ). I aree with what Tweek said. It is up to the parents of the child to say whether or not the game is suitable for them, just like with any other game. There are loads of games with sex scenes in them, some aren't even that bad. Take GTA San Andeas for example, after a few dates with your girlfriend in it, she asks you if you want to come in for some coffee, and it just shows the house with the screen moving up & down you can hear the girl giggle and say things like CJ is hot, but you can't actually see them having sex. So there's nothing really wrong with it. That's all I have to say.

A lot of parents don't care or overlook the ESRP rating when they purchase games for their kids. In another sense, a parent may buy the game for themselves as well or to quiet an ignorant child. It's when sex, not killing people, becomes an issue. Because it's the next big thing. Real nudity in a game, virtual or not should carry the Mature rating. Better believe Wal-Mart won't sell it without a customer ID.

Well, we have nothing to with it.. and besides we are not the one who judge if it will be banned or not,it is consulted before releasing it to the public.. But in my side, Its good that they ban that game because of the sex scene... that kind of scene must not be seen by little kids, kids must focus on their education before proceeding to seeing that kind of scene..

Thieves Leave Note At Crime Scene: “(expletive) You And Your Safe”
(7) Thieves broke into the Des Moines Golf and Country Club on Monday morning. They used a reciprocating
saw to attempt to cut into the safe but couldn’t get in. In staid they stole some tennis rackets and
shoes and left a note to the people who owned the place. The note was scribbled on plain white
paper in large ink letters saying “(Expletive) you and your safe” The 2 thieves then attempted to
escape in their vehicle when a security officer saw some of the stolen good fall out of the back and
took down their license plate which led cops to the thieves themselves. http:....
The Eu Fines Microsoft $1.35 Billion
Antitrust. What else? (12) http://www.news.com/8301-10784_3-9880256-7...amp;tag=nl.e703 I wonder why no one posted this
before... The EU's latest action against Microsoft for violating antitrust sanctions has
amounted to 899,000,000 € (or about $1.35 billion). CNET has a poll based on this, and
about 56% of people voted for "too little". I voted on that myself. I think the EU should have taken
initiative for the US and Canada and raised it to 1.4 bn€ (billion euros), in my opnion.
Microsoft has been violating people's privacy and trust for too long. Even Zune and iPod....
Microsoft Embraces Open Source
(7) ***waits for everyone to recover from the shock** I have to say that is pretty big news and I smell
some big stock jumping in the tech industry on that. We all remember that last year Microsoft was
ready to go to war by suing anyone associated with Linux, and of course their war with the EU on the
use of open source software. So what are their plans well first they are going to provide over
30,000 files related to their software, or more specifically Windows client and server to the MSDN
group, and they will no longer try to sue the open source community. They will a....
Microsoft Puts Another Bid For Yahoo ($42 Bn)
(12) First off I am shocked that no one posted this already because the tech world is screaming all over
the place about this. Microsoft has put out a huge bid to purchase Yahoo and of course everyone is
looking at possibly the biggest merger since peanut butter and chocolate. Of course the United
States and the European Union is looking at all the angels just to say what could happen if Yahoo
accepts this offer, and that being the google threat that has taken nearly everything from Microsoft
and Yahoo. Of course one of the big things is that Yahoo is losing its steam, a....
Microsoft Claims They Can Pass The Acid 2 Test With Internet Explorer 8
(9) Although this would go to the other forum I have to say this is shocking news in the browser wars
since right now only Opera can render the Acid test successfully. Right now firefox hasn't been
able to meet that success yet nor has IE 6 or IE 7, and so if the IE 8 teams claims are true then in
2008 IE could make a comeback in the web standards war and the browsers wars. I watch the video
briefly and I have a funny feeling though they have set up the code in such a way that it cheats the
acid test because they broke down the code to the acid test and then they menti....
Microsoft Surface
the operating system which could change the future of computing (9) now this is what you call innovation for me, it is the first useful thing that microsoft has done
so far imagine being able to convert a tabletop into a supercomputer (slight exaggeration) . most
importantly, one which you can control enitrely by touch!!! this is what microsoft have
done - and i am at a loss for words i don't think i could explain this any better literally -

Microsoft Search Engine
Getting a huge upgrade to compete with google (10) QUOTE "SEATTLE - Microsoft Corp., the No. 3 Web search provider in the U.S., is rolling out
changes to its search engine aimed at narrowing the gap between it and market leader Google Inc."
Source It looks like microsoft is trying to make a super search engine to compete with google. I
thought what they did to the live search was a big change but it looks like they have a lot planned
for live search. There are some features that i like that they are going to add but some that is
just going to put to much junk on the page when you are searching. QUOTE "It....
Microsoft Slashed Zune Prices
(4) Microsoft has cut the price of the Zune player by $50, dropping it to $199. Due to the
newly rewamped iPod release by Apple. Zune went on sale in November 2006 and has grabbed 9 percent
to 10 percent of the U.S. market for hard-drive MP3 players. Microsoft has shipped 1.2 million
Zunes through June, exceeding a goal of 1 million shipments. Read the official release Zune

Microsoft Claims Vista Is More Secure Than Linux
(15) Well now this should be for some good reading before bed /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle"
emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I just caught this article and I have to say AHAHAHA.
Microsoft gave it's 6 month report about how well vista did in the first 6 months of going on
the market. So far Vista has had 4 patches to fix some high and medium end vulnerabilities that
came out, although a few weeks ago I remember an article saying one guy found 10 exploits himself,
but no patch has been made for it yet. Of course when they compared vista to Window....
Microsoft Pay $6 Billion For Aquantive Online Ad Agency
(7) Well it seems Microsoft have been in the news a lot lately, first with vista being introduce, ani
file hack, it's war on open source and of course the big secret meeting between them and yahoo.
Well today they just dropped $6 billion dollars in cash for a online ad agency, which is the
most money Microsoft has ever spent to date when purchasing a company. Of course their reason for
this purchase is of course to boost MSN search engine use and of course get their slice of the
online advertisement pie. After google scored a deal with double click last month. S....
Microsoft Tries To Take Down Linux...
Oh Microsoft, how silly... (23) Source Microsoft claims that Linux, the free operating system, is violating over 200 of their
patents. This is the silliest thing. If Microsoft wins, Linux may no longer exist. Open-source
software as we know it will no longer exist. This is the silliest thing i have ever seen Microsoft
try to do—i can't stress this enough. I believe in open-source. Some people, even though
there may be an open-source alternative, will still choose to buy commercial software, so there
shouldn't be a problem. As far as i'm concerned, Microsoft is just money hungry. I,....
The Biggest Merger Of All Time Could Happen Between Microsoft And Yahoo
(7) Since yesterday one of the biggest stories to hit the tech world since the discovery of the
microchip has been floating around since the first two reports about it have been made public.
Those reports well simple rumors are spreading that Microsoft and Yahoo could merge and create one
of the biggest mergers of all time and actually threaten google dominance in the tech world. when
the markets closed yesterday yahoo was worth about 48 billion and Microsoft a whopping $300
billion and so the rumor price would be that Microsoft would drop $50 billion on this lit....
Microsoft To Open A Brand New Data Center
(3) Well now this should be a interesting tidbit from everyone across the world, its seems microsoft
will be launching a new data centers the size of seven soccer fields worth of servers whichthe
article says is about in the "tens of thousands" region. The reason to be able compete with google
and yahoo, but what is interesting is the costs which is low especially since you running that many
servers at the same time and they mention that the whole build will go through 48 megawatts of
electricity. Of course they don't mention a day a week or a month, but I do believe i....
