wow i guess the zune was really a big hit much people thought that the zune would not do go against the ipod because of its size but not much buyers care about the size of the product they mostly care about the features. The feature i think that got a lot of buyers is the ability to share music but the downfall is you can only keep it for 3 days then you have to re share again to get the song again. Now the zune is cheap as a psp now.

I have a Zune. It's well worth 200 bucks (I paid 230 for mine, though - on sale at a local shop a few weeks before Microsoft announced this new price drop thing). The player has an FM tuner, 30 gigs of storage space, that sharing thing, et cetera. Personally, though, I don't care about the fact that the Zune handles photos and videos. I like that to the extent that I can put whatever wallpaper I want on the device, but beyond that? No big deal. I bought the Zune because I really wanted to put my ENTIRE music collection on it. I drive an hour one way to school, two days a week, so it's nice to always have "fresh" tunes. Yes, it's bigger than an iPod. But I don't mind the extra bulk because I'm less likely to forget that it's in my pocket and, you know, accidentally wash it (crazier things have happened with me and electronics).

http://www.news.com/8301-10784_3-9880256-7...amp;tag=nl.e703 I wonder why no one posted this
before... The EU's latest action against Microsoft for violating antitrust sanctions has
amounted to 899,000,000 € (or about $1.35 billion). CNET has a poll based on this, and
about 56% of people voted for "too little". I voted on that myself. I think the EU should have taken
initiative for the US and Canada and raised it to 1.4 bn€ (billion euros), in my opnion.
Microsoft has been violating people's privacy and trust for too long. Even Zune and iPod...
Microsoft Puts Another Bid For Yahoo ($42 Bn)
- (12)
First off I am shocked that no one posted this already because the tech world is screaming all over
the place about this. Microsoft has put out a huge bid to purchase Yahoo and of course everyone is
looking at possibly the biggest merger since peanut butter and chocolate. Of course the United
States and the European Union is looking at all the angels just to say what could happen if Yahoo
accepts this offer, and that being the google threat that has taken nearly everything from Microsoft
and Yahoo. Of course one of the big things is that Yahoo is losing its steam, a...
Microsoft Embraces Open Source
- (7)
***waits for everyone to recover from the shock** I have to say that is pretty big news and I smell
some big stock jumping in the tech industry on that. We all remember that last year Microsoft was
ready to go to war by suing anyone associated with Linux, and of course their war with the EU on the
use of open source software. So what are their plans well first they are going to provide over
30,000 files related to their software, or more specifically Windows client and server to the MSDN
group, and they will no longer try to sue the open source community. They will a...
Microsoft Claims They Can Pass The Acid 2 Test With Internet Explorer 8
- (9)
Although this would go to the other forum I have to say this is shocking news in the browser wars
since right now only Opera can render the Acid test successfully. Right now firefox hasn't been
able to meet that success yet nor has IE 6 or IE 7, and so if the IE 8 teams claims are true then in
2008 IE could make a comeback in the web standards war and the browsers wars. I watch the video
briefly and I have a funny feeling though they have set up the code in such a way that it cheats the
acid test because they broke down the code to the acid test and then they menti...

Well now this should be for some good reading before bed /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle"
emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I just caught this article and I have to say AHAHAHA.
Microsoft gave it's 6 month report about how well vista did in the first 6 months of going on
the market. So far Vista has had 4 patches to fix some high and medium end vulnerabilities that
came out, although a few weeks ago I remember an article saying one guy found 10 exploits himself,
but no patch has been made for it yet. Of course when they compared vista to Window...
Microsoft To Open A Brand New Data Center
- (3)
Well now this should be a interesting tidbit from everyone across the world, its seems microsoft
will be launching a new data centers the size of seven soccer fields worth of servers whichthe
article says is about in the "tens of thousands" region. The reason to be able compete with google
and yahoo, but what is interesting is the costs which is low especially since you running that many
servers at the same time and they mention that the whole build will go through 48 megawatts of
electricity. Of course they don't mention a day a week or a month, but I do believe i...
Microsoft Tries To Take Down Linux...
- Oh Microsoft, how silly... (23)
Source Microsoft claims that Linux, the free operating system, is violating over 200 of their
patents. This is the silliest thing. If Microsoft wins, Linux may no longer exist. Open-source
software as we know it will no longer exist. This is the silliest thing i have ever seen Microsoft
try to do—i can't stress this enough. I believe in open-source. Some people, even though
there may be an open-source alternative, will still choose to buy commercial software, so there
shouldn't be a problem. As far as i'm concerned, Microsoft is just money hungry. I,...
Domain Names .com And .net To Raise Prices

I thought this was a bit interesting since this could affect prices for all hosting plans. The
owners of the .com and .net domain plan to increase the price tag for those domains to $6.42,
for .com and $3.85 for .net domains. they do mention that this will only affect those getting
a new domain and renewal. However, people can still use the old price tag till Oct 14 and then on
from Oct 15 on they will pay the new prices. The reason for the increase of course is to cover the
cost of hacker attacks and the number of queries they recieve. It is aso mention t...
Microsoft Pay $6 Billion For Aquantive Online Ad Agency
- (7)
Well it seems Microsoft have been in the news a lot lately, first with vista being introduce, ani
file hack, it's war on open source and of course the big secret meeting between them and yahoo.
Well today they just dropped $6 billion dollars in cash for a online ad agency, which is the
most money Microsoft has ever spent to date when purchasing a company. Of course their reason for
this purchase is of course to boost MSN search engine use and of course get their slice of the
online advertisement pie. After google scored a deal with double click last month. S...
