Well, Microsoft has just released Windows Internet Explorer 7 (note that MSIE is no more, it is now WIE ). What are your opinions about the new IE, if you have tried it? Is it better than Opera or Firefox?
Personally, I think it is better than MSIE 6, and pretty much the same thing as FX, but I still miss features that are integrated into Opera, such as a mail client, IRC client and mouse gestures. There is also a major change when rendering web sites: The text is anti-aliased. Personally, I don't like that, as small, anti-aliased text is harder to read on computer monitors.
IE7 still can't beat Firefox or Opera, I tried it somewhile ago and still use it with sites which could mess with my cookies on other main browsers like Firefox and Opera because I mainly use them for all of my work. The RSS is an eye candy in WIE7 but still it is nowhere near the power and speed of Firefox.
The new version of internet explorer is available for download on microaoft's site at this link here.
The browser now supports tabbed browsing and RSS web feeds. Also you shouldn't worry abotu phishing sites withthis new browser. Your personal information is safe anf somehow the browser recognizes these sites that try to trick you into giving your information. The release has come out a little bit early so that they will beat the introduction of Firefox 2 coming out in a couple of months.
Before now people have been testing internet explorer 7 and now they will recive the full version through critical patches through microsoft's website. The testers said that the best improved feature is better printing of wedbpages.
In abotu 18 months microsoft will realese more improvements to IE 7 like a download manager and better search functions within webpages. ALso they will be focusing a lot on security issues.
I have been using Windows IE 7 Beta (2 and 3), I really like it, but i have allways been an IE fan . And now i am downloading the fully fledged version! But the sad thing is, i have never printed a web page with it lol
Gota go, need to restart for the install to complete
Is this the final version if not then why is this topic being made for? Everyone knows about the download link and Last I heard that this was still in beta stage.
I just downloaded it from the main page and I guess it's official. I just downloaded it and I like it a lot better than IE 6 so far. A lot better interface has been added which I like. I still have some experimenting to do. I might still stick with firefox but I don't know yet.
Microsoft always seems very slow with the Internet, always jumping on the bandwagon last.
For years they claimed that the Internet would only be used by scientists, by which time Netscape had a strangle hold on the market. So they had to release IE with the OS so that people would use IE rather than downloading something else. I have heard claims from Microsoft that no-one wants tabbed browsing, but now they release a Internet browser with tabbed browsing
What I think is a laugh about this is that someone already has the IE7.com domain name: http://www.ie7.com/

This is a shock. Now if they would focus on fixing the issues with their other products I would be happy

IE7... Microsoft knows millions of people will use IE7 atleast once eveyday. I dont think they need to be in competion with Firefox because everyone knows firefox is the winner.
Talk about the technology... isn't IE7 built on the mozilla engine?
I always use firefox as a religion but it does have its own problems. i cant wait for a new updated version because even this latest version crashes and has extention probblems.
Its just WOW and congrats microsoft team to launch internet explorer 7.There are some great changes from the previous versions.I liked the tabbed browsing and I think internet explorer is very near to firefox and opera in terms of speed browsing.I think internet explorer tries and perhaps I think even manages to match the speed of these two popular web browsers
I thank the microsoft team to launch such a good web browser again making impact in the world of web browsers
I see as firefox as my main choice but its really up to you on what you choose: Firefox is an
open-source (Wired mag) Internet browser, thought up by a 18 year old (completed when 19) after many
frustrations with Internet explorer. It has a built in pop up blocker that has never once fail me,
and is 100% skinnable. It includes TABS, which is a fature that lets you see more than one page in
one window. Because of its new scent, noone has bagan to look for a way to deliver viruses thrrough
the browser. It has promoted its service by Spreadfirefox.com, which gives of webba...

As many of you know Firefox will be attempting to set a world record on "Download Day" - Date to be
announced. As most people on this forum have taste and use firefox I think it would be great that on
the day we could have a post where whenever someone downloads can post in, then we can take a
screenshot of it and send it to mozilla. It could be in the guest forum or a members forum but
obviously nothing with post count, I just want to know what the admins/mods fink of this idea? for
more information and I suggest you read this go to ...
Download Here It passed the Acid 2 Test, and although it did better then IE6 or IE7 in the acide
3 test 17/100 is still pretty bad. Strangely enough though, Internet explorer has destroy several
sites, such as trap when trying to post a new top, and alignment issues in yahoo and even in
part's of Microsoft's website. But to give you an actual taste I break the browser in
several key points to see what Internet Explorer 8 team need to fix before final release. Look

Hi Guys, I'm trying to test a site for a client who doesn't have broadband. She has told me
that it's taking too long to download. I'm currently on broadband 2 so for me the page
loads in under a couple of seconds. Is there a way I can emulate 56k speeds on my browser so that I
can see how long would take to download. Cheers....
I just saw this article today and I find it very interesting and also wondering whats going on as
well. ITs been awhile since I first heard about Internet Explorer 8 is coming out, can't find
that post, but from what this blog is saying IE should already have a beta version of this explorer
out, but so far nothing has come out for that nor bug reporting for internet explorer 7 as well.
However, I see one thing about this though and that is everyone knows internet explorer is the most
hacked browser in the world, and from my line of thinking is that they are eithe...

Where I work we've been told not to upgrade from Explorer 6 to 7 because some of our in-house
programs wont run on it! This made me reluctant to upgrade my personal PC. Are there any known
problems with the new version? If I upgrade & don't like it, can I easily go back to Explorer 6?
Thanks for any tips! ...
http://www.microsoft-watch.com/article2/0,...,1776290,00.asp QUOTE Sources say that IE
7.0–which is code-named "Rincon," they hear–will be a tabbed browser. IE 7.0 will feature IDN
(international domain name) support; transparent PNG (Portable Network Graphics) support, which will
allow for the display of overlaid images in the browser; and new functionality that will simplify
printing from inside IE 7.0, partner sources said. The new browser also likely will include a
built-in news aggregator. (Coincidentally, or perhaps not, MSN just began testing a new Micros...
