Yea since the early 90's (not that my very young self would know..) its been all about chatrooms and chatting. That kinda died out. today, i use AIM and i have a full buddy list. I have to make aliases in order to add more people. so i have like a screename for people i know personally.. people i met through games (like counter-strike). MSGing and MUD games pretty much made me type so fast. but im taking computers right now.. and we have a keyboarding section. now i found out that i have "Wrong form" so i have to start from square one (stupid "home row") lol.. if i can type 71 wpm with "wrong form" why should i be forced to type properly if it makes me slower!?

No I just dont fit in around 'these parts' , I have 20 contacts with only about two that I 'talk' to regularly and I dont see the point in saying lol if its easier to laugh, but you now I wont judge anyone for having millions of contacts, any way its probs coz you have ore friends than me....... LOL.

i use MSN Messenger i don't use Yahoo Messenger at all, but yeah im the type of person that has 150 contacts but... i think i don't even know half of them, like "hello!!! how are you? oh im fine too ooh btw ....who are you?" hehe but well i never had counted how much do i have using MSN Messenger... hmm like *counts* 5 years! wow . I have also been throught good and bad things because of my messenger, good things are that i've met very nice and decent people and i have maded lots of very good friends from around the world, and the bad things... hmm ...well i have been stabbed in the back too..really painfull, but well that's part of it isn't? that's the way the digital world works

I use msn, yahoo, icq(not very much) been using them for a number of years. I have the most contacts on msn. I have countless stories about them. Many good things and bad things have happened to me cause of it. I have been stabbed in the back, lost friends and even met my boyfriend through messenger. Even had a couple long distant relationships with that and on the telephone. I like that you can send files through them and talk to people miles away in an instant. Its a great and cheap way to keep in contact with family too.

I have all three main ones (AIM, YIM, MSN) and mIRC. I used to chat a LOT, but I don't much anymore. I still have YIM, AIM, and mIRC open at all times though. (The only one I talk to on MSN is my cousin.) They all have their pros and cons.

yes! Trillian is one of the best software for those people that have aim,msn,yahoo, and there are like aanother 3 different that can be used, it has a pretty cool and modern display, and some cool features. I havent used it in a long time, about a year, but i can still reacomend it.

ps. and answering the original question, i do use messengers, just something to do, when im bored. I think that MSN is the best messenger, mostly after downloading plus from Messenger Plus

    What do you think of the new msn messenger 7? it has changed from the beta of it aswell, it can now
    show what song you are playing in windows media player to your contacts, it has a new name system
    (like name - comment) type of thing, and plus the winks and nudges are cool but annoying sometimes,

    one day I was bored and installed this piece of crap windows messenger 5, then I found out the
    problem that it conflict with Adobe Acrobat 6.03 (it doesn't with acrobat 6.00). when I
    uninstalled it from control panel, each time I open a pdf file, there is a popup window saying I
    need to install something. I tried many ways and can't figure out how to solve it, even in
    adobe's website they described this problem but did not give a solution. Finally I was able to

    Hi everyone I was wondering which IM have you used or are you using now? I have MSN, Yahoo
    Messenger, and AIM installed on my computer right now. But I use MSN most of the time since

    alt='biggrin.gif' /> I tried Trillian as well but I abandoned it since it doesn't have audio
    or video capabilities. I've also heard of open source IMs but I haven't really tried them.
