| | Ok, I went through the entire install process and came to the install module and I can't figure out what I'm supposed to put in for host server and database socket (which is optional) The default database port is 3306. Can someone tell me what to enter or modify? |

What exactly are you talking about? Are you asking for help about the installation of a Mercury MotherBoard or about the installation of some database server in your mercury mother board? Be specific.

this spounds like ur hosting on ur own pc????am i right because i dont think you need to know the port for a databse to install a board

Ok, I don't know where the 'edit' option went, so I'm sorry about the double post. I finished uploading a mercury board to my t17 site to test it out. I'm trying to get it to connect to a mysql server I have there. This should clarify a few things:  For host server, I don't know whether I should put rhino (t17 server name) or localhost. I'm also confused about the port address and the socket.

(3) Ok I feel really really stupid (Which I am when it comes to this) but anyway on the SMF forum, there
is a package manager, you click install, and it installs the mods on the forum. However, sometimes
it gives you a link, to download the mod. So yeah I download it, and it appears on my desktop as a
bunch of icons that only make a million tabs appear when opened. I was wondering where in the world
am I supposed to put these mods so that they will work? I have tried some things but they did
nothing... Please help! Why Don't I ever get any replies! ....

Trying To Install Phpbb3 [resolved]
but getting 'Error 404' (0) Ok, ive uploaded al lthe files, but i get an 'Error 404' page every time i try to install
from the /install directory. I do know how to install php based forums, i have done it many times,
but im just trying to figure out why this one isnt working. Have tried going through the CHMOD
settings but that didnt work. Ugh nevermind, my FTP program wasnt telling me it kept on losing the
connections. Had to upload each file by myself /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":("

Help! (21) I am getting very frustrated as I cannot for the life of me figure out how to install phpbb
completely. I've uploaded all the files using FTPSmart. I think clicked on the install.php
fine, and was taken to the screen where I fill everything out. It says I successfully did all that:
