| | Four days ago I formatted my computer and have been installing all of my applications. I went to the Macromedia site and installed flash player, and the movie is shown saying that it has installed succesfully. However, if I go to a website that hosts flash player 8 content, It usually does not display correctly and it tells me to go download the new player. No matter how many times I re-install the player through the Macromedia website it does not "take". Any Ideas? Is there anywhere I can get Flash Player 8 from as a .exe I can run and install? Thanks in advance. |

could it be the fact that you may have installed the player on a different browser that you use to browse..because i do know that i had to install a version of flash 8 player into both firefox & internet explorer seperatly..

If you click here, you can completly remove flash from your pc. Then try going here to install Macromedia Flash 7. Once installed, it should come up with a pop-up saying that there is an update for Flash player. This will take it up to version 8 and will install on all browsers.

okay thanks mate.. Thats what i was wondering i had installed it on firefox and wondered why it didn't work for Internet explorer.. Now i get the reason..

You can get flash player from an exe (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash) or if you're using Firefox, try the plugin manager and see if Firefox can download it for you. If you are using IE, try the exe.

oddly poor performance (13) My windows media player 11 has seemed to have developed a problem. Well actulally it has always been
doing this. I am running a P4 (2.8GHz with 512 ram, 64MB vram), and when I try to activate the
visualization in WMP 11 all it is horribly slow and pixelized. I would guess about 5 fps Normally I

Help With Installing Sims 2
previous copy uninstalled for new installation (8) Hey everyone. I've gone without the Sims 2 for a while now and I just went out and spent
$50 for another copy of it. Well I uninstalled my other copy since I cracked the first disk of
it and I couldn't get a no-cd patch to work. Then I installed my new copy and when I put the
first disk in, it starts up but after that nothing happens and the Sims 2 white screen that pops up
disapears. And when I open up Task Manager, Sims2.exe just drops off the list, and when I press the

Windows Media Player Made My Video Audio Out Of Sync
(3) Ok, well i have been working on this project for about a week now, lol i have like 40 video files
that i cut the beginning minute, and last 10 seconds off of the videos. i am using windows movie
maker to do this in, and well i just finished cutting all of the files, and i went to play them....
and like the first half is absoloutly fine, but the second half, the audio gets all out of sync with
the video it is about a second behind the video. any ideals on how i can fix this? maybe i need to
re-encode all of the files again, or somthing else, i dont know plz help /biggr....

Having Problems Installing Apache2 On Linux
Any tux lovers to help me out? (2) I am installing Apache 2 on Ubuntu Linux 6.06 (downloaded appropriate binary), and have followed the
instructions from several places, including apach.org... I have got to the point where it says to
enter make , just after the ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache2 , where I also added
--enable-mods-shared=most , for the common options. That all went fine, took a little while, then
when it's done I am supposed to enter make , I presume to gather up all the newly created
files. This command just does not exist. returned bash error and it is not in the manual.....

Formating Usb Flash Drive

ActiveX Control for IE. But what it said was "failed to register component flash.ocx". What's
wrong? After a search of www.adobe.com. A tech. note tell the true what's happen. There are some
