QUOTE(err @ Feb 13 2005, 07:37 PM) yes, i aggree that mac is better than windows for graphics design. cause the processorr's architecture is RISC as far as i know. windows that using intel proceessor, is CISC. but for applications like office tools, i like windows. coz mostly user using that. no need converters. Can't forget AMD, which is what I use. (3500+ AMD 64) I've been using windows since windows 95 came out, and it's what I'm used to. I hate microsoft, but unfortunately, Windows is the only OS that I'm used to. I know it pretty much inside and out, at least as much as I coudl learn, and some things about it frustrate me. But, I can't do anything about it.

I am very serious and I feel like I wanna throw up on people who dont like mac, lol. Mac is the best out there except the fact that there isnt much in the way of games for it. But theres tons of regular softwarre for it and its like 10 times more stable than windows and alot more secure then windows OR linux, and he has very very few memory leeks. Plus the OS is alot easier to use than windows or linux. So basicaly I saw mac is practicaly th best. Also I have 2 macs and soon to be 3 and I still cant understand why people make comments about mac when they have probably only used it for 5 minutes at an apple store and didnt even own one themselves to actually find out how good and useful and better it can be than windows or any othe of those OSs. Anyway its just an opinion so it doesnt really matter.

There are strong points of all three of the main OS's (Windows, Mac, and Linux) Windows by far has the most compatability, and is more common, therefore more software is created for it. Macintosh has much better graphical display, but also reverses the close screen. Linux is the most powerful, and when it comes to hosting servers it crushes Window and Mac hands down. My verdict if Linux was included: 1st place: (tie) Windows, Linux 2nd place Mac From your question: 1st place Windows 2nd place Mac

Linux owns both. Except that Mac has a buncha tools and other stuff. Actualy...it's all in prefrence. Windows is what most people use cause of the games, and cause people don't know about other Operating Systems. Mac is used mostly by college people. And then theres awesome Linux which is used for servers and programming. My choice is Linux.

Generally Macs cost more. maybe because the case and monitor looks way better than Windows powered computers and their generic cases. I would say Windows. more compatibility and i think you have more hardware parts to work with it. But if you want Linux too you could dual boot.

As much as I hate Microsoft, I am stuck to Windows 98. I like the Mac's interface, but I like Windows better. But to be more specific, I like Windows 98 a lot more than the newer versions of Windows (like Windows XP and Windows 2000). Plus, I'm too lazy to change to a Macanyways. I understand that it has a lot of great software (especially graphics software), but I'm just so used to Windows that I feel that there isn't a point to learning how to use another OS. I know Windows so well.
