ok so i got this file in dreamweaver, and i upload it through the file manager. but when i name it index.html its not the home page i still get the old newbie directions. how do i change it!

1. delete the old index file
2. is it a .html file?
3. try to direct it in your cpanel

Yea you need to delete the old index.html before the new one can become functional. Also, make sure to rename the new one after you've deleted the old one.
