I think you'll need apache, thats all I think. But I aint sure if you need some program to make dns with your pc. Maybe try the saint wamp, its php mysql apache in 1 program. There was a tutorial arraund on this forums a long time ago, maybe you should try searching

thanks i will look it up and try it out. so i can run it from a windows running PC, with apache running on it, and i might be able to set up a domain that way?

windows xp or windows 2000 pro, etc. comes with Microsoft Internet Information Server. This is an alternative to apache which is already included with your OS. It is also easier to setup (because it isn't as configurable). It all depends on what you are trying to do.

to put the ip address of my trap17 hosting account. The main domain works out perfectly after

Problem With Domains
(5) Hey everybody, well I have bought a new domain name yesterday, and then I changed its name server to
to trap17. then I changed my hosted domain in Xisto to my new domain name. this all happened
yestrday. but since yesterday up till now I can't go to my website. I can't even go to my
cPanel :S so what am I supposed to do?....

(3) How can I set up addon domains on my trap17 account? The notice says this: QUOTE Note: This
feature must be enabled for your account before you can use it. Addon Domains will not be functional
unless the domain name is registered with a valid registrar and configured to point to our DNS
servers. Does this mean you do not allow addon domains on trap17? Or does it mean I have to do
something special in order for it to work?....

My addon domains are not showing in the control panel. (2) Hi. I just want to find this out before I submit a support request. It may probably be a global

Want To Switch Domains
Not sure about what to do (4) I got some of those free .info domains from 1&1, and want to set it up for use with my hosting
account. I already pointed the domains to the Trap17 nameservers (ns1.trap17.com and ns2.trap17.com
- are these correct?) and will use one of them as an addon domain. I understand I either have to
request a domain change, or spend an additional 5 credits to do this instantly, while in the
meantime, the domains aren't even registered, so I don't want to lose acces to my site while

are Sub-Domains possible with threw the (16) well, i searched for the forum for an answer specificly for me and didn't find one, so i was
wodnering if anyone could help me out with sub-domains. I have a .com domain at 1&1.co.uk, as i saw

Muliple Domains
to my trap17 subdomain (6) hi i was wondering, i registred a domain (www.armaniii.be) and i want to have this as a domain...
but i want more then just 1... so lets say i have 1234.be 4321.be blabla.be wassie.be and i want
them all to redirect to my site. so when you go to 1234.be you go to www.wassie.trap17.com same with
the others. But i also want to be able just to go to www.wassie.trap17.com. the domains (.be) must
also be able to do this: when i make a new directory at www.wassie.trap17.com lets say its
www.wassie.trap17.com/map/, the domains must also be able to acces it like www.1234.be/....
About "hosting" Sub-domains
(9) I have a domain, but it's not exactly a TLD, uni.cc, but since I have a domain in Trap17, I have
an option to having subdomains like subdomain.domain.uni.cc. Here's my question. I want to
make some guys use a subdomain of mine. Is this allowed? It's not like I'm charging them or
anything. It's a bit like hosting them I suppose... Don't worry, their site isn't

parking domains (4) I will be getting a .com domain soon (whenever i am kinda free)... i would like to know certain
stuff... like, i have parked domains in hosts before.. but not in a free one, so yea.. the .com

(10) QUESTION ASKED TO ME A LOT OF TIMES ::: I have registered for the uni.cc domain name and i have
also pointed the DNS to ns1.trap17.com and ns2.trap17.com but up till now, my website which i
uploaded to my trap17 /www directory isnt showing. I dont know what have gone wrong. And what else
