Windows XP SP2 has its own pop-up blocker. Its nice. And yes, pop-up ads are disgusting. You made the right choice admin. Having pop-up ads scares away lots of people, at it makes pages take ages to load for 56k users. I can't believe why advertisers stoop so low. I am very disgusted by pop-up ads to the point that if I see a pop on a site, I go close the browser window.(That is when I turn the pop-up blocker off)

I also hate popup. But compare with banner, I like the under-popup what can appear only when visitor leave the site. but some site show alot popups so it is crazy for ads. Use popup with carefull

I think if you have a personal site, it would be okay to actually have pop-ups, but if youre actually using your website for a business, pop-ups just make you look very unprofessional... You pretty much come off as a "bad" person trying to ruining their computer by polluting them with pop-ups.

just get Mozilla Firefox and you wont have any proplems! with pop-ups i downloaded this ad-block extension, so it blocks ads after you customize it. Because i dont see any ads on trap17

Refresh Main Window By Clicking Link In Popup?
(2) This is another refresh problem question. The project I'm doing uses tons of frames (I know,
some of you will probably advise me not to use frames) and I'm having problems with refreshing
the target frames. The problem is, I have a main page (main.html) that is a popup (so that I
don't see the address bar and the other toolbar bits in my browser) and there are links in that
page that when clicked also pops up a page. What I don't know is how to refresh the main page
using a link in the other popup page. I've tried using this but this only works f....

Tooltip Style Popup Info For File Descriptions

to access a 'members only' area. Is there any way of forcing just the htpassword popup to
use ssl and letting everything else be standard http? ie; user goes to http://mysite.com and
