Just tossing this topic out there but was wondering who here does and doesn't use layout programs where the website is built for you already you just plug in the info you want and away you go?
If you do state what one you use and how much of it you actually use to build the website.
Myself depending on what i want done i cheat a little bit lol, i use xara to get a general layout then i modify the graphics in photoshop to what i want and retype the coding that i can to fit what i want it to say. |

I used to use ready to use layouts. but now i make my own graphics and do almost everything from scratch.

i allways go from ZERO! from a white blank page  but everything! html, ccs, especialy graphics (new forum coming up)

Yeh start from scratch!!! Layouts are stupid you need to customise your own site to make it your own!!! Just start simple and advance and improve. Perhaps learning html with a boook or tutorial cud b a gud start.

I make my own with photoshop + dreamweaver. I did use templates before but recently i have been making layouts. It is better that way because you own it and no stupid copywrite. You can get some tutorials for photoshop layouts from Good-Tutorials.com :: Web Layouts

A Discussion on Why These Major Browsers Display Different Table Layou (3) Hi again! Recently I noticed that IE and FireFox display table layouts in different ways. It is
a headache for web designer to add some compatibility for the issue. Currently I have some
problems using tables in my website. For example FireFox adds 3-4 pixels to my table width where IE
display is clean. I use some CSS mixed with HTML normal tables and want to customize my PmWiki

Hybrid Css Layouts
What is the right way to create them? (11) I was looking for a hybrid layout where the header and footer are set to full percentage width and
the content is set to a fix width, a very popular layout in today's websites. Do you think you
could provide such an example? Not that I do not know how to create one, I just want to know about

sites. The first one is a two columned page with a full length sidebar for navigation links. There
are two that are identical except the sidebar positions are reversed. Another is "one way" to create

Css Table Layouts
How do you create these (8) Hey everyone, the previous topic has inspired me to ask how do you create a good css table layout. I
have tried over the years but tend to run into lots of issues since as soon as you start floating
divs, things get complex and really hard to give good positioning. Plus, they tend to look different

No pages, but layout's there (26) I just finished up the layout and finally have it about how I want it, I expect I should be able to
start putting in the informative pages pretty quickly now that that's over with. I haven't

I'm busy making a site with dreamweaver. I've made a lay-out in Fireworks, sliced it, and
know about how to export etc. The point is, when I inserted the lay-out (Insert, Image Object,
Fireworks HTML) I wanted to add text.. I read several guides and tutorials on the Web, but I still
haven't be able to add text in premade white rectangles for example. I read some things abou
