I just finished 'Atonement' by Ian McEwan - AMAZING NOVEL!! Everyone should definitely read it. The story follows a British family through WWII. One ordinary day at the country estate of the Tallises turns into the expedition of a man through France during the war followed by a daughter serving time in an army hospital. This was on my summer reading list, so I was a little apprehensive about it at first, but it was excellent.

I just finished reading The Two Towers again. Odd how Lord of the Rings never gets old  Of course I'm still looking for elfy inspiration for that fic I'm working on, so I try to keep LOTR fresh in my mind. Now if I could just find time to actually work on the fic. hum.

I agree about LOTR.. they really never get old. I think the series has such an enduring quality because it's so far removed from any world we're used to.

I think it would probably be Firewing.I love the books by Kenneth Oppel.It is one of those books that you can't put down until your done reading it to me  I love that book^^

I'm currently on the third book of the vampire chronicles Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice, Its not your average Vampire series because it deals a lot with stuff other than killing and feeding. It has more than a few funny bits aswell as its share of sad moments. I would reccomend it to anyone.

The last book I read was the one I started on and completed yesterday: "Cat's Cradle". It's about a guy named Jonah who wants to write a book about the creator of the atomic bomb. While doing research for his book he meets completely new people and he starts shifting religions from Christianity to Bokonism. Also a lot of Bokonism words are explained in the book. The writer even thought of a completely new dialect to write in in some very small parts of the book, where people from a island called San Lorenzo speak.

The last book i read was "princess".....Its a true story about Saudi-Arabian royal families....It reveals the secrets of the Royal families there ...their lifestyle and how woman are mistreated there...I don't remember the author..but the book was really good..... When you read it...you will be surprised to find such things are still happening in some parts of the world......

'Twisted' by Laurie Halse Anderson. I found it a really good book, me being in high school and being a guy, could relate to it well. I was quite surprised to look at the author and see that it was a woman, when in fact she describes the main character (the book was in the first person) well, even though the main character is a guy. If you are in high school---read this! If you are in middle school-wait, it contains a lot of sex and stuff like that in it.

Last book I read was Babbitt by Lewis Sinclair. Don't read this book, it's boring. And it was purposely made boring by the author to satirize the 1920's middle class' monotonous brainwashed society.

Looking For A Good Book

Well we have not really got many English books here to choose from, so I thought I would order one

Series Of Unfortunate Events Book 13
(11) Well, the last book (or at least I'm assuming it will be the last) came out just about a week
ago. So far I have read about half of it and I must say it is very good. It's sad to see that
this will be the last one in the series. The Series of Unfortunate Events are one of the best series
ever. Hopefully Lemony Snicket comes out with something else. Anyways, I reccomend reading this

Dvd Drive Problem
It Wont Read Anything! (10) Recently my DVD drive was playing everything, today i put a dvd disk in, it says nothing comes up
with no auto play or nothing loads at all. so i go to my computer and load from there, it dont load.
It says please insert disk... Im like WTF so i put a cd disk in and the same exact thing happened. i
