Laptop Computers
I will be off to college in a couple months and major in graphic design. I am looking to purchase a laptop for school work and my disgins. So I am going to need something that moves pretty fast and has a good graphics card, the characteristics of a good gaming computer. I have been researching mac and dell but I am open to suggestions, any help?

Replying to Trap FeedBackerOne of the best graphics intensive computers out there is going to be HP. They have nvidia graphics cards, which in my opinion of one of the best. Depending on your budget, is the quality you are gonna get. If your budget is low, I would look into a gateway. You probably think gateway is a POS, cuz honestly they use to be. Acer bought them out, and they are one of the best out there now. Look into the acer 1625 for a budget compatible computer that is still rocking. Just because it is inexpensive, does not mean it's a cheap computer. If you aren't looking for a particular brand, then find a computer that has an AMD Turion processor, preferably dual core. They are the fast processors for graphic intensive application and don't **** a battery like crazy. Also I would go for an nvidia graphics card. Best out there as of today is the 8800 series, but the 7000 series is still really good. Let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions -reply by Travis

HP have never struck to me as a brand which is good in graphics processing. They are more suited for businessman who needs to have their laptop on the go for presentations and meetings. If you are actually looking into graphic processing, I would suggest a Macbook or Macbook Pro to you because Macs are born together with designers. At the same time, if you are purchasing a Mac notebook, do not buy the Macbook Air because of its pretty looks, you are going to suffer a lot when it comes to doing work with it.

You better off with a Mac computer because the way they are design for heavy duty multimedia and what not. With darran then HP brand of computers seem lackluster in recent years, but of ocurse your better off building one from scratch to fully customize with your needs and what not.

i am on a tight budget on my laptop and need advice (4) i am on a tight budget on my laptop because its a little bit of short notice. ( my motherboard is on

Strange Thing Happened To My Computer
(26) I was on my computer a couple nights ago. Chatting with some friends and email what have you. And
all of a sudden, It froze. I was like, Oh great. So i shut down the computer using the button. And
then i flipped it on. Nothing happend, it sounded like it turned on but the power light that stays
