Okay I know I am not alone on this one. Who here are tired of being labled? I have gone trough 16 years of being labled and its starting to tick me off big time. I have been called "emo", "cutter" and tons other and its compleatly wrong! Alright I am quiet and I like the "goth" style in clothing, that dosent mean that I am an cutter! And then people have the nerve to asume that they know me HA! Its just a way of placing people into catagorys! Makes others feel better to know that they think they have you figgured out. Its human nature to be afraid of what you do not uderstand, I cna simpathise with that but to then asume someone has nothing but ill intent because of that now that crosses a line! Last I checked we are all HUMAN and not anything but that! Then you get the racism issue! WHO CARES WHAT COLOR YOUR SKIN IS! My god so what if someone is white and the other is black or mexican or japanese! IT SHOULDENT MATTER! SO I am here just to tell all the people who like to place labels on others to *BLEEP* OFF! Youīre right but itīs something we all have to deal with. You canīt control what people thinks about you, but try to think this way. If someones mislabel you, itīs his problem, and you shouldnīt care.
Labels are a part of human society. Why, if we didn't have labels, then we wouldn't approach people, ask them about themselves. .... like that. I personally label all of the people I see, there are people I don't accosiate with, though I am not mean and cruel. If I see a trenchcoat walking behind me, YA ill cross the street, Im neverous 24/7. If we didn't have labels, we would know who was caring enough to pour our souls out to them.
lables are a commodity. people have the urge to structure the world around them. what they see on surface - that they use to memorize a particular person. beleive me, it would be REALLY tireing if you had to consider everybody as an unique and complete individual. so to say, "one girlfriend/boyfriend is enough". and as you can't go deep inside everyone, only on certain aspects, for the rest you leave the label. don't get me wrong - of somebody sees you as a cutter and then changes the opinion - he changes the label.
They cut themselves with scissors, knives, etc., usually because of emotional depression.
Or they just want attention. Chances are they're just feeling 'out of the spotlight' or something. Thats the typed of people the label of a cutter implies, anyways. That being said, there are definately times when thats not the reason, and the person really does have some sort of emotional problem.
Labels are unavoidable. As much as you might hate them, they're always going to be there, because even the people who avoid labels create that label for themselves. If you don't fit under any particular grouping thats already been made, then more and more people will eventually copy what you are and another label will be born. You just have to get used to them and make sure you are who you want to be, not who everyone else wants you to be. At that point, even though the labels are there and always will be, they don't matter..
I try to avoid labeling people. I hardly ever do it, However, I may accidentally do it. Anyway, if I labeled people all the time, I wouldn't have the good friends that I do. (They aren't exactly seen by other people as a friend...). Anyway, most people who get the bad labels are usually really nice. Somehow, I always wind up with friends who most people try to avoid (and it doesn't bother me any). I think people spend too much time labeling people. I mean, you could find a really good friend that you "labeled" as being bad, weird, a freak, and all those other things. Although, you really shouldn't worry about what people think about you. I used to, and I was made fun of a LOT. Anyway, now that I ignore them they don't bother me any.
I try not to worry about them, although I know they happen all the time XD
Actually, sometimes I get upset at -not- being labled XD; When a new person comes into the cafe at school and sees my group of friends hanging out, they are all generally labled as 'geeks' right off, because of how they look and act, but people give me a weird look like I dont belong, because I'm an outgoing female, and I guess that doesn't fit the standard most people think of XD; If all my friends are going to be lumped together, I'd like to qualify for that label, also XD;;
Really, it's helpful for describing people.. if I tell someone who doesn't know her that my sister, "Dresses kinda goth, but is really a cheerful girl," it's a quick and effective way to describe someone.
As long as you don't rely on them so much that it keeps you from getting to know someone I dont think there's any harm in them ^^;
Generally if someone labels you it means they're taking notice of you at least
What would the world be like without labels though? If people are labelling you in a way then its just their perception of how you are. And I'm assuming these people labelling aren't friends anyhow so who cares what they think?

Simple as that. And anyways, if you react to them as much as it seems like you do, they will continue to label you because of the reaction you give. Sure you can tell them to stop, but this will only make it worse.
If you don't like them calling you emo or cutter, don't dress like some undead freak.
Labels suck but mehh you cant quite change your label without changing yourself or chage the person whos lebeling =] live with that fact that people suck =]
I just ignore it when people say it to me. Cause I'm not a jock, prep, emo, goth or whatever. I'm in that funny person category. Like to make people laugh. But nobody really calls me anything like prep or emo. Well cause I'm not. But just ignore it i guess.
Personally I'm with Tenshigami on this, it's all abit pointless to me and I know I got sick of it, any way it definately eases of once people grow up. It's just a sad fact that it will be there to start with and it will always be there, some will carry it on in later life (and may even take it to further extremes) but at the end of the day we are all essentially the same, and anyway it's the differences that make life interesting. If it bothers you that much just stay away from people who label you, but (and this goes for everyone, in a similar situation) just remember that it's their problem not yours.
Hey you know what you are so right. I wear plain clothing, jeans and a normal shirt, I am not a so called emo, goth, chav or anything stupid like that, I'm me - end of... I get called a goth if I wear anything dark coloured, a chav if I wear anything light or go for a jog in tracksuits, an emo if I have a music related (rock/metal) shirt or hoodie, a trouble maker if I wear a hoody, I mean what am supposed to wear?? You know once I was down at the beach, I hate orange shorts on, and no top, and I have natural dark brown hair, short, no dies or anything, and this guy goes ' u f***** goth ' and I turned and said what?? me?? what do you mean I dont get it , and all I got was a load of swear words as he walked off? Omg.. ok so i think im tramatized, i logged into my msn, for no reason whatsowhever, and some random
guy on my msn sends me an invitation to use webcam, i was like, oh gad how annoying, and i exed it
out.. im guessing msn doesnt believe on ESC, because as i dipped my cookie into the milk and stared
into the screen, saw the guy holding his penis on his hand, and moving it on circles, i seriously

Well, at first I didn't have a problem with that- people coming to look at our house. But what
happened today changed that. For anyone who has ever moved/sold their house, you know what having
someone look at your house is like. Now I'm one of those people who is so neurotic about people
stealing my stuff that I do/did the following things: I put everything upwards of 50$ in my

I go to the doctors to get a physical one day, and this doctor had no idea what to do. So I was
sitting there while he kept going back to the main desk thing to ask what to do, or what something
was. It ended up taking me 4 hours to get a dang physical. And my Aunt got SJS(Stevens Johnson
Syndrome), she is in the hospital now. And there is not a single specialist at any local hospital,
so she is just laying there in a bed, hooked up to a Dialysis (does the work for her Kidneys). And
yesterday the doctor's told us her heart was failing, but she is still alive and it&....
This is some part of my school's rule about absency : 1. Bell rings at 6.50 AM 2. Student is
late if he/she come at 7.00 AM or later 3. Student whom late cannot go into classroom and must
stay at detention room untill next class begins I'm sure I've learnt those rules carefully.
And one day, I come after the bell rings. I checked my cellphone clock, it is 6.55. But when I step
up the stairs to my class, a teacher call me and says that I am late! I already told him that
I'm not late because it is still 6.55 AM (My cellphone clock is adjusted jus....

i have this chemistry teacher and she keeps finding new mays to piss me off. the whole school was
doing a project for chemistry, and i was asked by a teacher why we werent doing it.(it was during an
after school credit recovery program). i told her that my chem teacher didnt assign it to us. they
said that there was no way because the whole school had it. so they asked one of my classmates in
regular school and he said no too. then they started talking about it. and one of the teachers said
that they heard my chem teacher didnt think my class could do it. i got really ma....
OK I use the bus for transport right to get into the city, It takes so long about 40mins or more to
get into town and I have to sit near people who stink from body oder. Come on take a bath please lol
you don't have to use fancy perfumes to cover up the smell but at least do something to reduce
it. The next person you site next to isn't guaranteed to be smell impaired. Maybe wash them
cloths you wear every few days or so. I also hate the loud girls who sit in the bus and play their

Well this is in general a complain to free hosts, not about this 1 keep that in mind havent used it

html support full of spam. Now I host my own msql mysql php etc, for my projects on dictated

These final days of school are starting to become painful as hell. Every class I'm not doing so
hot in, and nothing I do works. Sure I'll spend 4 hours on a project, but its not right, sure

Who here hate smokers? I mean, they go into a restaurant, sit in a non-smoking section, and smoke,
ignoring the sign. I also want to tell everybody that 2nd hand smoking is actually worse than the
smoker himself smoking it. In Houston, the mayor has already banned smoking in restaurants. Well,
you know my vent, I hate it when people smoke right in front of you while you're in a casual
conversation. I can't stand the smell. I know I can't just cover my nose so I usually just
walk away. I think smoking should be banned and I hope it will...sometime...soon.......
