QUOTE(FuChelle @ Jun 30 2005, 11:51 PM) Like so many others here, I also use Ad-aware. It seems to work pretty good. I have Spybot S&D too but I rarely use it because it doesn't seem to work as well...I don't think so anyway. Occasionally it finds 1 or 2 things that Ad-aware doesn't find but that's very rarely, so I tend not to use it. I also have SpywareBlaster, which is good. I use the exact same programs!! Spybot, Ad-aware SE Professional, and SpywareBlaster combined definitely gets the job done. But then again, if you use Firefox, you shouldn't have too many problems with spyware and whatnot. I've actually tried Spyware Doctor before, but it didn't really accomplish anything...

I use Ad-aware 6 by Lavasoft. It's free and works quite well. I also avoid using MS Internet Explorer since it is a magnet for spyware. The Firefox browser keeps a lot of the nasties out. Goldinero

I definatley reccomend, if not already said in this post, Xsoft Spy (http://www.xoftspy.com) It cleans everything! All the spyware right off your computer. First it scans every file and tour entire computer, sets aside the spyware, and you can then remove it, works 100%, I love it!

I use ad-aware and yahoo anti spy. And when things are really bad, I take my computer to the shop. And then they fix it. Sunkist

I use a combination of spybot search and destroy, yahoo anti-spy, (sometimes spyware doctor), and BHOdemon to get rid of those nasty browser helper objects that some companies try to install on your computer. Also, I've switched to mozilla firefox about a year and half ago because it cuts down on alot of the spyware that microsoft (probably intentionally) allows companies to install on your computer. There are times though when some spyware slips through the cracks. It's really annoying. I don't know if you trust microsoft or not, but if you go on download.com you can find microsoft's anti-spyware program and they're providing it for free (I can't believe it ). Hope you find what you're looking for.
