KNOPPIX is a bootable CD with a collection of GNU/Linux software, automatic hardware detection, and support for many graphics cards, sound cards, SCSI and USB devices and other peripherals. KNOPPIX can be used as a Linux demo, educational CD, rescue system, or adapted and used as a platform for commercial software product demos. It is not necessary to install anything on a hard disk. Due to on-the-fly decompression, the CD can have up to 2 GB of executable software installed on it.

I used for a while Knoppix v3.6 (i think). At a point I was thinking to stick to it but I had some problems with the save settings option ... the one that should save the desktop and the settings of you OS after you shut down the computer. Anyway it looked great and detected all my hardware succesfully.
I thought it was an excellent example of how user-friendly Linux can be for an average user. I tried it out a little, looks nice, but my top end PC is for gaming and windows programming, so, it's really not useful there, and my bottom end computers can't even run Knoppix, so, again not useful.
One problem I did have, though, was when I tried to show it off on someone else's system, and Knoppix refused to even boot in (it'd boot, but it'd just freeze part-way through the load).
Anyway, good stuff.
By the way, ivanc, good work with the copy and pasting there... I'm sure that took a lot of effort and thought.

Hello, i'm having some troubles creating a countdown, i'm willing for some help. First of
all, the form has a textbox where the user has to input the time to countdown like this: 1:10 the
form has also 3 labels, 1 named countminutes, other countseconds and another label1 with the text

Today I got Knoppix 5.1 working off of my hard disk. It has some small problems however. Certain
applications don't work, like me trying to change the time as it is off on my computer. The
partitioner GParted does not work either. All of these produce the same error message. Can anyone
offer some insight as to why this is happening, and how to correct it? ....

I chose SQL server authentication mode it then asks me for a login and password. I have no idea what
this is. Is there a default? or do i need to add a login somewhere. I may have not specified one

I am going to help my friend install Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 on his Dell Inspiron 600m

It looks like the PS3 is being fully displayed by sony. The original 2005 desgin had no holes for
the hot air from the processor to come out so the a change in the 2006 model is just a lot fo vents
and holes to let all the hot air out. Some plugs like usb were swiched around and change but for the
most part its the same thing. there will be a 20GB for $499 and 60GB for $599, but it
looks like the 20GB has a lot of setbacks and missing features that the 60GB has. One that i know is
that you will have to use a wired controller for the 20GB.....

ok i just got this game and the graphics really suck! i bought it for ps1 but it still works in
ps2. the graphics are realy bad you can't even see the players faces.. is the game like that or

Pats is the team to beat. Brady and belichick combination is arguably one of the best of all time.
