| | Hey guys, is it posible to install Joomla on my site hosted by Trap17 thru cPanel?
How do i do it?
Doi first download Joomla to local media?
I need to know before I start planning about installing Joomla on my site. I cant do it now because my ISP is blocking my ports and now I can't access my cPanel. But I need to plan so that if it is posible I keep building the site on my local server then install Joomla and upload the files when I get access.
One other thing. How do I get rid of the info that appears above and below the content that I'll have added. Imean the "edited by", "last updated",etc. for example what I have shown in the picture attached.

Download the newest joomla from joomla.org, copy the files to Trap17 via FTP, then make a new sql database for it. Start the installation process by going to 'site.trap17.com/install' and you should have installed it and have it working. you can move the site from local to online by doing exactly the same and then copying the files from your local server to the online server, and extracting the sql database and import it on your online server. that's as far as my knowledge goes.

Or save yourself all that time by installing it through fantastico as that is one of the preinsalled scripts that comes with trap17 hosting.

How to make them. (2) I am going to be working on a CMS site using Joomla. However I don;t want to go out and download a
free template and I don;t want to pay a web design to do it. I was wondering how easy it is and if

Ahhh! Problems With Joomla On Paying Client's Site - Help!
And my deadline was yesterday (17) Can someone, knowledgeable on Joomla! pleeeease help me asap! I uploaded Joomla and went
through the install. Three red flags showed up, two of which I ignored because they come up on just

How Do I Duplicate A Joomla Site?
(4) Hi Guys, I'm helping a guy re-design his site who currently has a version of mambo installed.
What i want to do is make a copy so that i can fiddle around with the layout without stuffing up the
site. I also want to upgrade it to joomla but thats not as much of a priority. Any ideas on how i
do this? My idea was to just copy the files installed in the mambo dir into a new folder. Will this
work? I can't imagine it will be this simple.....

Great tools (9) Well since i have had Trap 17 hosting servie i hvae been trying to learn how to use and work with
Mambo and Joomla. I have to say I finally have gotten the hang of it. Im learning how to manipulate

Joomla Install Trouble
on step 3 (4) Joomla asks on step 3 to enter a URL and path for the site. For the local site, not for the install
directory, as aguy on Joomla Forums said to me. But im not sure what the root folder is in the path
directory, couse Joomla creates a custom path for what it thinks it should be, and it says this:
/home/username/public_html/ this is what joomla says, and theres also a message that states that
this might be correct couse Joomla detects automatically the right folder... But in an ftp client
it shows the root directory of my account as follows: /public_html/ This direct....

entered in the appropiate information and even got as far as hitting the submit button when I
