| | I posted this at the Joomla support forums, but their forums are completely useless. Hopefully there are some Joomla users here that may be able to help me out on this...
On my Joomla site I have over 1100 members. At the moment they are all set to the "registered group". The registered group can basically just see content, not submit or anything else.
On my site I would like the members to be able to submit Articles(like the Author usergroup), and their articles to NOT require approval by an administrator.
It would take too long to change each member's group to "Author", so how can I give the "Registered" usergroup the same permissions as the "Author" usergroup, as well as turning off the approval of new articles?
I hope someone here knows what im talking about.

Joomla On Trap17
(2) Hey guys, is it posible to install Joomla on my site hosted by Trap17 thru cPanel? How do i do it?
Doi first download Joomla to local media? I need to know before I start planning about installing
Joomla on my site. I cant do it now because my ISP is blocking my ports and now I can't access

Can't Send A Support Ticket!
(1) I tried to send a support ticket to Xisto Helpdesk. However, when submitting it, I needed to fill in
text from a captcha image "Please enter the text you see in the image at the right into the textbox
below.", but the image just won't load for me. I tried in both firefox and IE. On IE, it shows a
cross. Please advise me on this or point me to another source that can give me the help I need.
I'm trying to get xisto to help me reset my Cpanel password. Thanks!....

Joomla 1.5.2 Broken Link?
Add New User won't work (3) So I wiped the whole slate clean and noticed they've got 1.5.2 now, so I installed it. When I
went to add another admin under the user manager menu, it did nothing when I clicked on "NEW" in the
upper right. This link is broken or something else is wrong here. I need to be able to add other
admins to get this thing off and running... Someone help me please... Admin??? Edit: I've come

Support? I Gave Up!
(1) My business has been without working email for over a WEEK. Customers are calling and complaining,
and the hosting company does, well, nothing. I have been waiting for hours for the so called "online
support" (no status message on the system notification that this service is down - just learned
about it in another thread minutes ago). Two support tickets filed (IGX-436840 and CDZ-706390),
increasing priority daily a bit up to "critical": Still none answered properly within 6 (!)
days. I am giving up on this and switch to another host now. For your information see ....

(6) What the heck is with online support? It hasn't worked for a whole week, and frankly I'm
sick of submitting tickets and not know whether they are being worked on or not. All it says is
"Please wait, an operator will be with you shortly." when it used to have a big paragraph, and no

I Want To Use Joomla
But I don't know where to start ... some help please (5) I am thinking of using Joomla as a CMS for a website. However I do not know where I can start. I
know CSS and using semantic markup. I also know how to integrate a CMS like WordPress into my own
website design. However with Joomla, it looks more complex and troublesome. With WordPress, it was
decently documented and I had no problems using their functions. I have read up on the
documentation of Joomla. I have a question. There is index.php to handle the main page, but how
about sub pages? I would appreciate it if someone can give me a brief introduction of how the CMS ....
