heh, nice, I used to have a server, but it made the network crash due to too many users.... (A few thousand) This is probably because the servers were on Windows O/S... Well, nice!
P.S. They just need to type /join #<ROOMNAME> and register it lol! 
I will connect to the IRC Sometime, but right now, I am goin, see ya!

it is good  IRC is generally Free, my network is... having a lil trouble with the website currently (hint hint) :wink:... but irc lets you have channels and generally on most networks they let you register the channel(mine lets you register your nick and channel)

winbots whats the website!? it sounds cool, i have bein looing for a chat room for my website. but i wish their was a chat room that let you have the chat room and website rgestration the same instead of registering for both, but whateer, that chat sounds lke it will do, so.. whenever you read this post pelase post the link for it. thanks.

Whats the website name? I dont have a website i cant put that yet.
And oh yea...Wizbots stop spamming, thats considered spamming, put all those posts into 1 post, and delete the other ones or else you could get banned.

irc relys on main servers.... that clients establish a connection to... if a mysql db goes down, ircds are completely unaffected.... phpmychat on the other hand, if the mysql db goes down(like it has been lately) it is as useless as this forum when the mysql db is down...

6) i dont know how many ppl use php chat... but i thought you would find these stats interesting: "There are 1,177,601 people in 492,320 (IRC) chatrooms right now!"(stats from www.searchirc.com)
7) if there are that many people using irc then it is 'tried and true'
8) you can create irc rebots... i think it is a lil bit harder to create php chat bots...

Javachat And Cgi Chat Not Working

log ins from the same location, and while going through the cpanel I saw phpchat, configured it and
logged in, but found that it seemed a bit laggy, and it flashed strangely when inputting new text,
but the strangest thing to me was that the text was reversed, instead of new text coming from the
bottom, and old up at the top, the new text came from the top and old was at the bottom, needless to
say this was disorienting to me and without knowing how to reverse it, I turned ....
Need Multi-user Chat
(4) I've been searching for quite some time for a free multiple person chat. I run an RPG site where
I need a somewhat fast responsive chat in order to correctly RP to my members, and I need to be able
to log in multiple times from the same computer (since I commonly RP as 3-4 NPCs at a time) all with
different names. Most chats I've found were either incredibly laggy/slow, or did not let me log
in more than once, and sometimes did not even allow me to change my name. I used to use Parachat and
had to pay roughly 5$ a month which is quite a lot on a tight colleg....

Chat Sites
What is with chat sites? (4) You can never go to a chat site anymore! Without like wierd people and sex offenders. I go to
this chat site and out of no where 10 people try to send me pictures. It was really wierd. I heard
that cops and other law enforcement go onto chat sites and act like teenage girls. They tell them
the adress and when they come they get a very bad suprise! I hope all of those se offenders get
tossed right into jail. Has this happened to anyone? Has anyone tried it to you? Thats why I stay
away from chat sites I stick with A.I.M.....
