I think the error is in the user... remove the @localhost (after the user)...
(The local must not be confused with user)
I am not an expert in databases... but I already had a similar problem.

You created a Database before you installed it? Add an costum made username + password in it  You can do that in Cpanel under MySQL Databases Good luck!

Are you putting in the correct information? It should look like this:
Username: <cpanellogin>_<DBUSERNAME>
Database: <cPanelLogin>_<DBNAME>
Password: <Password>

First, you need to create database, then create user.
After that, just give that user database you just created.
