| | Ok I have to basic issues.
1)- When I startup my computer, in order to connect to my DSL access, I need to go into the command prompt and type "net start dhcp server" Otherwise I end up with all 0's when i type ipconfig and we all know that means no internet!
So the question here is... what do I have to do to fix this!
2)- When My internet is running, approximately every 15 minutes, it "Hiccups" my word for temporarily loses connection for not even a second! I get logged out of any messenger programs, and the page I am currently loading gets that usual error whenever theres internet problems. I am quite sure I dont have a disconnect when idle option turned on.
So the question is yet again... what do I have to do to fix this! lol
I know my questions are vague and I dont have much info on my system. Windows XP Pro. Thats all I got! Please help! If you need more info I can get it for you, all input is appreciated! Thanks so much!

Hi BeyondEarth, Your two issues are both related. Theyre probably related to your computer not being configured correctly with your DSL modem(box). You internet provider can (and should) help you with this issue. Hope this helps  RGPHNX

Go to your control panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services. Make sure DHCP Client is started and set to Automatic. To set to automatic right click on DHCP Client -> Properties -> Drop down box to Automatic -> Apply -> Ok What version Windows? What DSL Modem/Router? What Broadband Company?

Ok! So I have now set DHCP client to automatic! Woo!!!! Fixes that... hopefully... *Has yet to test* Alrighty now... Windows Xp Pro (need more info?) Westell Wirespeed i think... model B90-210015-04 And I have Verizon With MSN! Help please! lol... And thanks of course!

(9) i dont really know what the problem is, but like every 3 minutes my internet connects stops, then
goes back up after like 3 secs. i am not sure if a cable might be faulty, my modem or one of my

Connection Problems
(5) im not really sure why this is happeneing. Firstly, let me explain how this is all set up I have a
cable modem, which has a cord going into my wireless router, and also into my desktop. now last
night, i was on the desktop, and my dad was on his laptop using the wireless internet. both of us
were disconnected at the same time (thats never happened before) i couldnt connect to the web or
through mIRC. after a few minutes, it was back to normal later last night, i lost connection

internet connection really sucked heh...around 4000-5000 kbps and after i used it it went up

Trouble Hosting Programs Over Internet
Need help, tried everything! (2) Approximately every half an hour anyone connected to me is disconnected. There is no trouble
establishing the connection and it runs smoothly till sudden disconnection. There is no problem with

help!! (6) okay, so here's my problem...i am running on 3mb of connection and i am having trouble dling soo
slow...my dl rate use to be about 150-500kbs from www.yousendit.com. when i was using an ethernet
wire. I am now using a wireless linksys and so when i dl from yousendit..the speed is ranged from
50-100kbs..same mp3 file..i've tested...got sooooo slow!.....so a few days i was working
with an ethernet..and the connection was wayy faster than this wireless...any suggestion on how to

Please help (5) Well I have a linksys router and have cable internet. Sometimes my internet goes out and I almost
always have a sucky connection. It was not always like this, it just started happening. What I did

Slow Internet Browsing With Brand New Computer
(14) I have a brand new computer running Windows XP 512 MB RAM, Compaq Presario 1.4Ghz Celeron. I am
connected to the internet with Comcast in Fremont. Web sites pages are slow to open up. The

(6) I just built my own computer... It works fine, but there's a problem with the internet
connection... The internet is very slow when 2 or 3 computers are connected to the internet,
especially when a onlinegame is running on an other computer. But when I try to play games online
