I'll presume the tabbed browsing is almost the same thing to Firefox's tab. I found the interface a bit similar to the latest version 6 build, although jazzed up with a few extra buttons and the rss feeds, etc as quoted by the poster above. However, as per usual, i think the first release will have probs and therefore the first release may be a BETA type version before any bugs or so are fixed.

Personally I find tabbed browsing to be annoying. I mean my START bar can group similar programs together (which in my opinion the same as tabbed windows) yet no one uses them. It's because grouping in one place for multiple windows is annoying. So why force a program to tab multiple windows when no one uses grouping similar application in the first place?

I downloaded this a few days ago (on my friends computer, I'm much to smart to install Microsoft Betas on my own machine) and I must say I was impressed.... I was impressed that Microsoft had managed to make the worlds worst browser even worse, I mean come on when a browser engine can't even render the defualt homepage (msn.com) properly, then you know it's gonna be a bumby ride. I know this will probably change but whats up with the immovable toolbar, that aint where the toolbar lives, oh and yeah the tabbed prowsing is practically identical to that of firefox with two (actually quite good) differences theres a preview type thing and then there is a button at the end of the tab bar that allows you to open a new tab. But guess what both of these features I have in Firefox via extensions. So in case you can't tell (who knows maybe you work for Microsoft and are incapable of rational thought) I was not greatly immpressed with Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2, it just seemed to be a little 'confused' for me, oh and then theres the total incompatance of the thing (that didn't help it). The interface is quite messed. My view of it was that its trying to be Firefox and Opera but it missed drastically, ok so there are a few promising features like the phishing detector, RSS support (although this needs a lot of work, its currently too much hassle to subscribe and view feeds imho) and if they can sort the interface out and who knows go insane and make it W3C standards complient (or at the very least the ability to render CSS somewhere close to what it should look like) then it may manage to sway me. Unfortunaly though wherever there is a copy of IE6 (oh about 90% of all PC's, I think) then this will end up, and the majority of people will use it over the numerous (better) alternatives out there, and I'm fairly sure Microsoft are fully aware of this.

Because with Windows, you can't see what all the grouped windows are until you click on the tab to see the list (which is annoying). With a tabbed browser, once you're in the browser window, you can see all other tabs. You also can't have Windows open up with multiple saved tabs, but you can with a tab-enabled browser. As for the IE7 beta release, you need to be aware that the install will overwrite IE6, you can't have both running at the same time (particularly important if you're a web developer cos you're still going to need IE6 to test in).

It sounds to me like this new beta version of Internet Explorer (Version 7) is a little bit dodgy, so I won't even bother downloading here. I may, however, download it when it's a sure secure version and actually has an installer Is nice to see that they are actually working to the internet browser section of their company though. It really did need lots of work, with all these vulnerabilities going around (which i've heard of) from version 6. Hopefully it will improve to be better than firefox when it's complete. I really do prefer internet explorer cos of the speed at loading. Mozilla firefox appears to take ages to load on my pc.

Tabbed Browsing and a Search Bar? A little too much like Firefox. They can copy off of Firefox's ideas all they want. I'll still refuse to use any Internet Explorer’s products unless they have extraordinary new features. Even so...

discution about developers and Internet Explorer 6 (12) QUOTE Most web designers will have copies of each of the leading browsers installed on their

Possible Problems With Internet Explorer Team?

well. ITs been awhile since I first heard about Internet Explorer 8 is coming out, can't find
that post, but from what this blog is saying IE should already have a beta version of this explorer
out, but so far nothing has come out for that nor bug reporting for internet explorer 7 as well.
However, I see one thing about this though and that is everyone knows internet explorer is the most
hacked browser in the world, and from my line of thinking is that they are eithe....

are your opinions about the new IE, if you have tried it? Is it better than Opera or Firefox?
Personally, I think it is better than MSIE 6, and pretty much the same thing as FX, but I still miss
features that are integrated into Opera, such as a mail client, IRC client and mouse gestures. There
is also a major change when rendering web sites: The text is anti-aliased. Personall....
