http://www.microsoft-watch.com/article2/0,...,1776290,00.aspQUOTE Sources say that IE 7.0–which is code-named "Rincon," they hear–will be a tabbed browser.
IE 7.0 will feature IDN (international domain name) support; transparent PNG (Portable Network Graphics) support, which will allow for the display of overlaid images in the browser; and new functionality that will simplify printing from inside IE 7.0, partner sources said. The new browser also likely will include a built-in news aggregator.
(Coincidentally, or perhaps not, MSN just began testing a new Microsoft-developed RSS aggregator.)
Among the myriad security enhancements Microsoft is expecting to include in IE 7.0, according to partner sources:
Reduced-privilege mode becomes the default; No cross-domain scripting and/or scripting access; Improved SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) user interface; Possible integration between IE 7.0 and Microsoft's Windows anti-spyware service, which currently is in beta.
Partner sources say Microsoft is wavering on the extent to which it plans to support CSS2 with IE 7.0. Comments?

Meh, Internet Explorer is just trying to suck up to people to get them off of FireFox and all the other browsers. I have to hand it to Microsoft, they made a fine browser, but they also set it up for people to mod, make better, and distribute to people. Internet Explorer (I hope) will never be able to keep up with Firefox, I love it too much. Besides, like every webpage you go to tries to get you to download one of those **itty toolbars that takes up half your screen, along with a gig of spyware. I've yet to see some kind of crappy tool/searchbar come up for Firefox. Plus Firefox has some good mods and junk. Now, sum that all up into two words, HEIL FIREFOX!!!

I use internet explorer, I can't be asked to get something like firefox because I would have to download it which I can't since I I do not have the chance to...and also I don't have Norton Anti-Virus 2005 on my computer...yet. But I also think that they might be trying to to get people of firefox or they might just be trying to improve their service for the people who already use them...either way, I know I'm getting it

interesting... well for now IE is probably the worst browser... i mean i wouldn't mind using it if it protected me atleast even bit... i mean the amount of spyware that comes through is just astronomical... my last computer totally broke down because of spyware i remove them and they come back and its an endless cycle, now on my new computer i have used firefox and it hasn't failed me yet so im very pleased with what firefox has given me...freedom...from spyware and popups. If IE wants to make a better browser lets see how good it is, its about time for a upgrade...

Just like the post above i will only get it if it is going to protect me, which i doubt, i only think they are doing it to get people from firefox, i probably wont get it because i am happy with firefox for now, so i wont change to IE anytime soon. I dont know about you guys but i hate spyware.

I highly doubt that Internet Explorer 7 is going to be much better than IE6 at all. It's going to be over-hyped, and by then, Firefox 1.2 will be out, ready to compete with IE7. Microsoft has serious issues.

So interesant. IE never will be better browser than Firefox. IE 7 will be based on .NET tehnology (I think) because all application on Windows Longhorn will be based on .NET, like Windows kernel. Good, new tehnology -> new bugs - > look up my first sentence. Soon, will be released new version of Firefox, Firefox 2.0. http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/roadmap.htmlFirefox 2.0 will be based on Firefox 1.0, safe & fast tehnology.

Hi everyones, Finaly I got it! Bad think this stupid system of genuine windows.. However finaly I installed IE7. It is a very important idea to have tabs: Now I open only once internet explorer (so my CPU have less of use) but inside I open more pages in differents tabs (like in Excels with sheets). This is one of the new thinks in IE7. Other think is the grafic: it have been changed to the Vista style and it looks very likefull... However I suggest to download as long as it is free.. and the point is that it is much FASTER. this is true: it's faster. And I didn't checked all the features, but I think it's also more secure... I any case have fun! bye PS: here are some screenshots: bye

I really love Internet Explorer 7 no matter it is in the Beta testing or not , it is easy , simple and secure to use. I can't wait to try the final version , I advise you shouldn't download Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 or Release Candidate 1 at one of those Warez sites , the files you downloaded can harm your computer quickly and easily

I believe IE 7 is still in its beta stage, I tried it and I don't really like it. 1 thing about IE 7 Beta was that it automatically configures anti-liasing within your text. For some of us, it may look cool and smooth but for people like me, I prefer not to have it because it directly affects the visuals of the text I would like to see. Security wise, I have not much confidence in microsoft either. Firefox still works for me as the best browser.

I think that the Windows Internet Explorer 7 wil be released in November 2006. Please do not give illegal downloading links to BETA software. I recommend using Firefox or Opera. Maxthon, Netscape, Avant Browser, Mozilla and SeaMonkey are also good choices. They are better than Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer 6 has too many security holes.

Ie6 - When Will Be Dead ?
discution about developers and Internet Explorer 6 (12) QUOTE Most web designers will have copies of each of the leading browsers installed on their

when developers won't have to test their work in IE6 ?? I am waiting for that time to arrive

well. ITs been awhile since I first heard about Internet Explorer 8 is coming out, can't find

out, but so far nothing has come out for that nor bug reporting for internet explorer 7 as well.
However, I see one thing about this though and that is everyone knows internet explorer is the most
hacked browser in the world, and from my line of thinking is that they are eithe....

Microsoft Launches Internet Explorer 7!

are your opinions about the new IE, if you have tried it? Is it better than Opera or Firefox?
Personally, I think it is better than MSIE 6, and pretty much the same thing as FX, but I still miss
features that are integrated into Opera, such as a mail client, IRC client and mouse gestures. There
is also a major change when rendering web sites: The text is anti-aliased. Personall....
