I don't like the layout of ie7. The placement of the file, edit menus are inconsistant with the other programs I use. Are the file, edit menus reorganizable?

until i see bill gates become the poorest man on earth then i will admit it, if and only when that happens.
Haha. That will never happen, as the number of sales per year he makes goes down, the prices that he sells his products at will go up.
I bet ie7 hasn't got features in it that firefox and opera haven't. In fact I bet it has less
Opera and Firefox still beat IE7 all the time.. They're both safer, more feature rich and web standard support than IE7.
Unless the Internet Explorer team scratches the current code and start building from zero, i'll never use it again.. Why? Cause they are much better browsers out there

Agreed. Microsoft announced this new Internet Explorer - trying - to stop Firefox's growth. It's still the same lame browser; and they are going to copy Firefox's best features like they did with Netscape to win the competition.
But it's different now, I don't know if people will be fooled again... Also, if the serious <<removed>> security holes aren't fixed, I won't use it again.

Censored blasphemy. One's anger can be expresses without using expletive words. Thank you.
I like the new IE ... I like the idea of the tabs instead of seperate windows all the time. I usually have so many screens opened at once that it is sometimes hard to keep track of where everything is. Well I surpose I am running 4 different messengers an IRC program and mIRC plus doing my online IE stuff as well. Man I do too much online ... lol I think I need to slow down a bit.
i have never heard about this new verison until now, so its expected to becoming out soon? Well i hope it has better security then this one had. I sometimes used firefox just so i could bypass some of the saftey issues that internet explorer was going through about 3 months ago. I hope they get it right this time and dont screw it up!
For the most part, IE 7 looks good, if a little bit cluttered. (Thanks for the screenshot, St. Michael) I'm wondering how it'll compare with the Beta version of Firefox 1.5, though.
The new version of the Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1 looks good from the screenshot BUT there are things I don't like about the screenshot. The tabs are on the top (above all the toolbars, even the menu bar) which annoys me, I think they should be at the bottom. You can get tabbed browsing from the MSN Toolbar. Where did you get the link to download Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1, subscribe to MSDN which costs so much?
Well that's my opinion top above about the screenie, NEXT!
Qoodaa Communications , which has been devoted to developing internet transfers services, innovates
and develops a new P2P technology, called MNP2P for short. It creates a new epoch of internet
transfers acceleration for large files. It is well known that the main downloading accelerative ways
are P2P and CDN. However, the traditional P2P needs multi-users download at the same time to
guarantee its downloading speed. BT is the most classic example of P2P. But CDN can ensure
downloading quality under the circumstance that there are a few downloading users and there is e....
This is one of the coolest new things I've come across in a long time. Go to getdropbox.com
and watch the video that is included. It has a pretty descriptive narrative. Basically what this
software does is allow basically allows you to maintain a folder that is accessable from any
computer. Simmilar to how you can just upload a file to a website and re access it from anywhere
else. This gives it a very attractive UI and also makes it pretty simple so the not so tech savvy
parents will be able to easily upload pictures and files to you. Supposedly the tech....
Last couple of months we can see the competition between 3 major Companies Adobe, Sun and Microsoft.
Everyone wants to win the race. They introduced 3 products to develop RIA (Rich Internet
Application). Flex - Adobe. Silverlight - Microsoft JavaFX - Sun Flex is already in Production,
they have released Flex 3.0 beta. Flex SDK is open source and Blaze Data Services (part of Flex
needed for Server side Programming) is open source. but Flex IDE and LifeCycle (Super Set of
BlazeDS) is not free. Silverlight and JavaFX is still under alpha release. I believe these three te....
I have always wondered if it is impossible to destroy the internet all together... is this even
possible? If it is possible to destroy the internet what would you have to do? Would you have to
destroy all the Internet companys like comcast and aol? Or would that not even take care of it?
Just think, if someone took down the entire internet not only would our lives be boring but it would
basically destroy the U.S. & other big countries all at once.....
Microsft has released 2007 Microsoft Office system Beta 2 Technical Refresh (B2TR) for Microsoft
internal use. This means this beta system will be available to all Microsoft employees 7 days before
the public release. The public release of B2TR will not be announced publicly by Microsoft until 14
september. This b2TR promise to remove all those bugs present in Beta 1 and give the user a fast
hand experience of Office 2007 final release. The final release date of the full version has not yet
been disclosed by Microsoft. Apart from this Windows Vista Rc1 has already been....
So has anyone downloaded and tried this yet?
http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/be...en/default.mspx It's the entire suite for free
and it's really cool. It's such a huge difference from the Office 2000 I've been using
for years. It's a big 450 mb download but I think it's worth it. You have to log in to
download it but all you need is a hotmail account and you don't even need to give them legit
info or anything. I just put in garbledy gook for all fields besides email. The installer is fairly
smart and will remove previous versions....

If you've given the newly-released Firefox 2.0 Beta 1 a spin, you've probably noticed that
there aren't a whole lot of eye-popping new features. However, there are a few subtle
improvements that make it a nice upgrade. In addition to built-in spellchecker, Firefox 2.0 also
has close buttons on every individual tab - a much-needed feature (especially on Mac OS X.)
There's also better (but still not great) RSS integration. When you click on a site's feed
icon (at the far end of the address bar), a preview page with the option to choose your feed rea....
QUOTE Since the end of last year, the number of Japanese Netizens visiting the "YouTube" site
has gone through the roof. According to Shibuya-based Net Ratings, a firm that tracks Internet
utilization, visitors leaped from 200,000 a month in December 2005 to 4.1 million by May 2006. That
latter figure correspondents for 9.68 percent of Japan's Internet users. Even more remarkably,
the number of YouTube viewers in Japan, on a percentage basis, surpasses the 8.83 percent of
visitors in the U.S. "Considering that it's an English-language site, these figures a....
Well as I was updating and reinstalling everything on my computerm i came across microsoft ie7
browser since i was going to update it anyways and notice that beta 3 was out all i can say its more
stabled and alot faster i think also the interface is a bit more organized as well. They brought
down some of the icons to the tab bar so the the menu options are not taking up a huge amount of
space up top. but other then that it's comign along nicely i think being somewhat updated and
with a cleaner look as well.....
I have heard and that there is a Windows Vista Beta version going around. I have been to a torrent
site and found few there. But I’m not going to download it because i'm guessing it is illegal.
Do any of you here have Windows Vista Beta? If you do what are the system requirements for it to
run. And i have heard there are few versions of this beta, one without the graphical 3D software
(decreasing system requirements), and one with it. Is this true?....

hi friends, Yahoo is supposedly testing its new interface for Yahoo Mail. It looks more like MS
Outlook with the folders etc in a left pane, the mail box on the top half of the right and preview
on the bottom. Also a tabbed view if multiple mails are open. Just like Lotus Notes for those who
have used it. http://patcavit.com/2005/09/14/y-mail-beta-impressions/

This has been available for a while, but I only recently. This is a Voice over IP program that
allows you to talk to anyone on the internet anywhere provided they have the same program. The
software is free. The real amazing thing is the new feature you can now have real phone number. That
means someone can call you from a normal landline and you can call other landline numbers. They have
also just added the live video software also for free, so if you have a web cam you can see the
other person. I know, I know it is not all that new, but this is the first software that ....
Mostly for entertainment and to see whether Robert Szeleney (one-man shop) has made much progress on
it, I downloaded and installed SkyOS 5 beta 8.5 on my main basement x86, an eMachines T2958 with
add-in NVidia. I had tried 8.4 but had some issues. Fewer issues in 8.5. This is way-alternative,
far left (or right, rather) of Linux. For an early beta it's pretty slick. Looks and works a
bit like BeOS, but more current and with a custom GUI dev system (SkyGI) that beats the heck out of
X, IMHO. Sky recognized most of my hardware without trouble except no sound. The pa....
I recently read about a company called Nethercomm that is promoting a broadband in gas technology.
Apparently, this company has some patents pending on devices that can be installed in gas pipelines
that go to commercial and residential buildings to provide the "last mile" connection for broadband.
It appears the technology is based on radio frequencies propogated down the gas pipe as a wave
guide. Nethercomm boasts data rates up to 40 Mbps are possible to the home. Anyone know of any
actual implementation/trials of this technology going on presently?....
I was wondering if anybody had any experience with internet telephony or voIP. I've tried Skype
with mixed results, and recently read an article about a number of fairly large companies who have
adopted it as a money saving venture. In the UK BT announced yesterday a new phone service whereby
when you take your phone outside your home it uses the Vodafone network, and when you use it at home
it automatically uses voIP over bradband. Sounds interesting.......

Yes, it’s finally true. Stuck on like a big band aid, courtesy of MSN Toolbar 1.2, we have IE with
tabs. Well ahead of the release of Internet Explorer 7, Microsoft has done what they just absolutely
needed to do, and have provided tabbed browsing for Internet Explorer. Things are fairly undeveloped
at this stage, but reports talk about it running fast and supporting most features you'd want.
"It's a more powerful functionality in a pretty robust tool offering, which already has a
number of differentiators with form fill and the access to MSN services in the t....

You might consider Webroot's Window Washer. It works with IE and AOL. Once you get off the net
it clears out all your internet activity, e.g. sites visited, temporary files, etc... then when it
completes it's 'wash' you just click to 'minimize' it so that it remains as an
active program. This will prevent someone else using your computer to find out what site's you
visited.. You may want to visit; www.webroot.com they have an array of products, and like anything
else everyone has their own opinion as to what works for them. I have Windows W....
Micrsoft confirmed what we've already expected. The new-coming explorer IE 7 will only be
compatible with windows XP and newer. The two reasons why old dinosaurs that still use Windows 2000
and lower won't be able to use the new IE are: 1. state in which is the extended support of
Windows 2000 and 2. mostly of technical nature (IE 7 is goin to have a few security updates and
imporvements, which bases on the functionality of the new XP SP2 and this is the reason for its
incompatibility with other versions of Windows) Source: Slashdot ....
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is the communication technology of the future for sure. Legacy
technology carries voice signals over analog circuits and lines. Voice over IP converts the analog
signal to digital and transports the signal to the receiver where it is converted back from digital
to analog and the receiver hears the sender's voice. This provides a more efficient and
economical means of communication. I have know VOIP for quite a some time since i started online.
Most of the time i use msn messeger or yahoo messeger to chat with my friends. Recently,....
Hi, I was wondering about having an internet service based from a satellite connection. This mostly
comes from this article: http://www.techweb.com/wire/networking/159401477 The service promises
432 KB per sec but I am wondering how might work as I've heard the connection speed for
satellites connections (phones) had a large delay due to the range of transmission. Would anyone
recommend this?....
Another not-so-obviuos quetion, this sparked up again when I made a prevoius topic, What do you use
the internet for? . For me, I'd proably be sitting in my bedroom tqidling thumbs, i mean if ther

Games, or Websites, or Online Banking, or PHP, or HTML, ASP, or CSS, or Yahoo, or heck, even trap17
