That is a very nice and kool motherboard you got there. One problem man...how much is it sold for? Anything higher than #15,000 (fifteen thousand Nigerian Naira---$104.14 approx) and I wont bother myself about it.
ok, I know that I have quite a number of real crazy overclockings before. like clocking a 2.4GHz
Pentium IV processor to rum at 3.6 GHz (Woooow). That is a kool 50% overclocking and guess what?
Everything was still normalk even after the crazy overclocking....Can you believe that. I do
respect the Intel Northbridge chipsets as they really allow you to do some very kool clocking to
your processor, RAM and Northbridge. I have used a number of Pentium IV class processors and
motherboards (6 pairs to be exact) within a quite a very short interval of time (within the past 1 ....
Intel has cut the prices of its core2 duo processors again despite its profits falling as a result
of this price war. The 2.8 Ghz E6700 has been made cheaper by 40% and E6600 by 30%. But with
AMD's Barcelona chip around the corner, we can expect more price cuts. So PC buyers everywhere a
wait is advised.....
Another question... I have been trying to choose between an AMD (left one) processor or an Intel
(right one). I have been customizing both of them to find the lowest price. If I choose an Intel,
I will have the 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7600 Video Card. If I choose an AMD, I will have the
128MB ATI RADEON® XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory Video Card. What will the difference be if I
choose the AMD over the Intel? Is this a good idea or not? I have never had an AMD computer so I am
not sure. Basically, will it effect me if I choose the AMD, I'm not doing any ....
Ok, so my parents are wanting to buy two new laptops for themselves, and they want the best they can

XPS's, i just want to know the differense, and what the pros and cons are of Dual Core Power
Processors, and Intel Centrino Dual Processor, and which one you think is better.... ive looked

Two days ago AMD released officially the new AM2 socket for their processors. this is some of the
special features in this new marvel: QUOTE The Memory Controller While this may seem a
little out of place for opening up with, the memory controller is at the heart of AMD’s change
to socket AM2. Remember that AMD pulled the memory controller in from the motherboard chipset and
started building it on the processor die. So now when you buy an AMD processor, you are not only
buying a CPU, but a memory controller for your system as well. AMD has been using D....

QUOTE SAN FRANCISCO (Business 2.0 Magazine) - Much to Wall Street's dismay, Intel is
continuing to invest billions of dollars in Itanium, a chip that most of the industry has written
off. Itanium, Xeon, Woodcrest and Opteron Itanium introduced after ten years in 2001, with no
64-bit software to run and its crappy performance for 32-bit software is already cost a lot to
Intel. AMD took the advantage and with its Opteron chip in 2003 which ran both 32-bit and 64-bit
software. Intel’s effort to adapt a 32-bit chip to run 64-bit software also (Xeon) is no good....
QUOTE DECEMBER 30, 2005 (IDG NEWS SERVICE) - After 15 years of service as a tool to teach
consumers what brand of chip to ask for inside a personal computer, Intel Corp. has decided it's
out with the old "Intel Inside" campaign in favor of a new logo and tag line that includes the
phrase "Leap ahead." The logo and tag line will be formally announced on Tuesday. As part of
the major rebranding effort, the 37-year-old Intel logo -- its name in lowercase letters and a
dropped "e" -- which was created by Silicon Valley pioneers Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore, ....

Hi. Trying to decide how fast a chip (Pentium M) to buy for my next notebook. The HP I'm
looking at goes up to 2.13 GHz. I can afford to go with a 2.0 GHz, but can save $100 if I go
with a 1.86. I can save more if I go with a 1.73. Any advice on Pentium M CPU speed? Any reason I
should not buy the fastest one I can afford...without buying _the_ fastest (with the biggest price
premium)? My experience tells me it's not worth the money to buy the _fastest_ CPU, but to go
with a step down from the fastest. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this. Than....
I got a Dell D600 Centrino and I want to sell it. I would like to get a new laptop but now I see AMD
has a kick *arse* Turion CPU and I would like to know how does it compare with the Intel Centrino. I
like my current Centrino because it runs cooler compared to the P4 and does the job done. How does
the AMD compare with the Intel Centrino for the low power heat? Also for games, would the Intel
Centrino or AMD be my choice. kservice....
According to inquirer, AMD published a comercial in a few american newspapers (Wall Street Journal,
USA Today, San Francisco Chronicle and others) in which AMD processor stands in a fighting ring and
waits for his Intel opponent. That was a move, with which they are tryin' to stimulate Intel to
accept a battle in which both new two-core processors would be tested by an impartial company. AMD
claims that this would be the only way for users to know which processor to choose.. Well Paul
Ottelini, CEO of Intel have easily turned down the challenge. If you want to know....
According to Slashdot, a Japanese managed to overclock his Pentium 4 processor to 7,132 Ghz with the
help of liquid nitrogen! The computer worked stable and was able to correctly display the Pi

todays limit of processor speed...Can you bet him?? /wink.gif' border='0'

Hi can anyone tell me what is the difference between Intel Centreno and Intel Mobile processors

having Intel mobile 2.6 Ghz processor. But when i see the latest laptops in market, all having intel
centreno 1.6, 1.7 ghz processors.. How come they are lower then mine? /wink.gif' border='0'

Mobile 2.6 processor are equal in speed? is that correct?....
I don't know why Intel insist in the HT technology, while AMD put into the market a 64 bits
processor. Well, i have an idea, possibly Intel have a 64bit processor but it not work very well,
or they want to continue selling older technology.... Tell me what do you think about
this............. kservice....
Some time ago news came out, that Apple is breaking a contract with IBM company, which has till now
produced all the processors for all of the apple personal computers. Now roomers became reality and
Intel is becomin a new official processor supplier for Apple. Till the summer 2006 processors in
computers for less-demanding users (eMac, Mac Mini, ...) will be replaced and somewhere in the
middle of 2007 Intel chips are goin to be in the Power versions of Macintoshs also. It is
interesting, if Apple will change to x86 and follow the rest of PC manufacturers (Dell, HP, IB....
I am building a computer soon, and I dont know which to go for. I am leaning torwards socket 939
becuase I can upgrade to AMD 64 3X00 latter when I have more money, but that wont be for at least 6
months. So, then I started thinking about getting a socket A computer that has an AMD XP 3000+. If I
get the socket A, I can get a 128MB VC and a Gig of RAM, but if I get the 939 I will have to settle
with intergrated video and 512MB of RAM for a while. I am asking you this, should I go for socket A
or 939?....

Today I bought every component I needed for a new desktop. I bought a combo at fry's, which
consisted of a P4 3.2Ghz CPU, and a ECS 848P-A Motherboard. They were on sale for $209.99, and
that was cheap! Let me just tell you, it's so 'cheap', I'm typing on my school

What the above said....lol... I was browsing the Internet the other day looking for the answer of
which processor is the best for gaming, the compared processors are Intel Pentium IV HT E and AMD
Athlon 64 (if I am not mistaken...) Most people say that Intel is better than AMD but also more
expensive. While others say then AMD can be over-clocked and is less hotter than Intel. So know, I
want your opinion. Which is the best processor for gaming? Intel or AMD? Thank you for the help.....
