Installing - need help

when i am in the install page for phpbb2 forums i put the database type as MysQl 4.x which shold be right as it say that in my database but when i click install (An error has occurred during installation
An error occurred trying to update the database
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ''' at line 1) comes up wat am i doing wrong /missing?

yea the samething happens to me....wtf is wrong..cuz i have used this forum b4...hmmmm

you do not need to put the db type all you need is to put this info in

db name
db admin name
db password

your log on info

thats it you shouldn't have no other problems with it.
