| | Hehe...this is not such a bad idea but I think that ONE WHICH IS GOOD is enough....two antivirus programs are going to eat tons of your RAM and this is why I think it is not a good idea to have two of them...
If you have too much RAM and don't know how to spend it, then go and instal 2 or more antivirus softwares and I assure you RAM will be spent

actually forgot to mention, sometimes the other antivirus will recognize the quarantine (SP?) of the other antivirus, and try to delete it , not so bad, but sometimes it will think the antivirus definitions of the app are a virus, and delete it, which is bad. Try installing a heavy duty antivirus (norton, trend micro), and a more lightweight one for scanning individual files.

Try GData AntiVirusKit 2005, it uses two engines, Kaspersky and BitDefender. It is also the fastest Antivirus based on reviews. Since kaspersky is has the best scanning engine and the most precise, then you'll have no worries. BitDefender is one of the best too.. but integrating them both made it the best shield.

I use Bitdefender and Avast at my friend pc. that is not affected for the pc . for kapersky my friend told me it will make your pc slower because it used a lot of memory so i never try it.

A free version of an anti-virus program isn't going to help as much as the ones you gotta pay for. I think Norton is a really good one. Mcaffee works just as well, almost as good, or even better. Norton and Mcaffee are really good Anti-Virus programs. (I don't know how to spell Mcaffee. Just telling you.) I suggest Norton.

Well i personally use Norton Internett Securety 2005, Before i had that i had Norton Anti Virus 2004 (We are getting them free from our Internett Provider  ) I just love it, i have not got a single virus (something that is good hehe). So you see i prefer Norton. ~ Arne-Christian

wrong.. more the merrier is very untrue.. ive seen WAY to many comps *BLEEP* themselves over because one tries to dominate over the other.. if they dont detect themselves, then they create chaos.. they will in a sense fight each other.. thats only in certain cases, bu its still a risk. out of date AV's probably wont detect new ones, thats how this prob usually starts.

i like the antiviruses that take up less space. i use EZ antivirus. i got it for free cause i use optimum online. i can ony say that its good having a firewall and an antivirus and not two antiviruses.it will take less space and you will be safer. you dont need 2 shields. i tried and found out: NO. trust me
