whats the first thing I need to about PHP? And, I looked at the script, and I can tell that I could figure them out. But how do I really "incorperate" the scripts into my site. Sorry, I know this may sound really stuped, but I wanna learn somehow. Someone give me a "very basic" tutorial of php. thanx

well, php it self insn't as hard as you think, most of it is biult of HTML and just some siimple tags, i would recommend you borrowing a phph guide book from the library. another good resource it the php site @ http://php.net is has the full guide book on what you need to know, and it's free, (but i can't stand looking at my screen and learning php like that ). And also check out the hotscripts php tutorial lists, a great was to learn how php works.

I tried self-instruction in the beggining and I dont think that works the best. So I bought a PHP book and that worked out alot better for me. Im still learning it too and I can code on my own while still learning the language. Thats probably the better route.

find some tutorials and examples on the internet for a start...that's how i began...


then little by little you get the hangof it....

find some script...examine it's code...and try to understand it...

What I did was start by looking at a message board source, punBB for instance. Then I tried to learn what it did to the HTML by comparing the PHP to the HTML it outputted. Then, I went to http://php.net and looked at their tutorial. After that, I went to http://hudzilla.org/phpbook/ and learned there. Finally, I started to try to add my own features to the message board source until I was experienced, while continuing to learn from hudzilla.

No man, its not stupid. If you want to introduct yourself in php, I suggest that you download some tutorials and simple scripts.
