Requirements:
*(A brodband internet connection (highly recomended if you want to share internet accsess)
*A wireless router with *>port switch (*=how many wired computer you will use)
*An ethernet card (it is a card that goes in the back of your computer, a little wider than a phone jack) OR A wireless adapter for each computer
*Enough Cat5 cable to get from the back of each computer that has an Ethernet Card, to your "central station"
*Electricity
* You will need to call your ISP and ask them the following: weather you IP address is dynamic or static, wheather it is PPPoE, PPPoA, or a different one, your username, and your password.
Step 1. Put all the ethernet cards/wireless adapters in your computers
Step 2. Get out your router and position it near you brodband modem (if no modem is installed, then put it in a "central" location in the area, accsessable to all wired computers)
Step 3. Take the ethernet cord that connects your modem to your existing computer and un-plug the computer end.
Step 4. Plug the cord into the WAN port on the back of your router. (it might not say WAN, but thats okay, plug it into the :odd one out" for example if the ports were labeled: 1, 2, 3, internet, 4, and 5, you would plug it into the "internet" one)
Step 5. Plug all wired (the ones using Ethernet) computers into the other various numbered ports on the back of the router.
Step 6. Get on one of the computers, open internet explorer, and type in 192.168.0.1
unless the instruction manuel for your router (you did keep the instructions, didn't you?) say different.
Step 7. Go to "basic setup" or something like it.
Step 8. Put in all the information you collected from your ISP.

Step 4. You must decide what channel to run your netowkl, and weather or not u use encryption.
Step 5. Go to a wireless computer and type in 192.168.0.1 U should find another set of wireless properties. Set them exactly the same as on the router..
