| | i am using ipb1.3final.
i do a bak up from the admin cp.
it's a .sql file.
i just go to another webhost,install a ipb forum with same version same file.
i just open the phpmyadmin ,there i upload the .sql file to the structure.but it always give me error.
i have no way to solve the problem.
members plz help me some.

the .sql is only for uploading it through the acp you have to install the db first then upload that file then it should work.

@ acp ,there is not a option for restore the sql data. i just do that way,: created the mysql database(with username granted) install the forum using this mysql database. uploading the .sql file to that database via phpMyadmin. got erros. plz.

ok i figured it out in phpadmin export it as a xml file then reload it up in xml format your shouldn't have any problems with that.

thank you saint but still not work.error. does it should be the same database name/ eg: there is guangdian_bbs database so the other server must be the same database name and username but the other is gunman_bbs then the error got ?

that could be the problem try that out making sure the db is hte same and the xml file is the same, if that still not works, ask a MySQL genius then.

Remote Access Mysql
(8) Is it possible to directly access my local database from my website? For example, if somebody
submits info on my website, the info they submitted would be transferred to my local database
directly. Is that possible? And if so, how do I set that up? The reason I don't want to upload
my database to my subdomain is because it would be difficult to keep the website database and my

99 Mysql Databases?
(2) I just got my account, and I was wondering: do we really get 99 MySql databases? I've read a
lot of the stuff about it, and it sounded like we only get one database, but my cPanel says that I
have "0 / 99" databases. If it's lying, it's not really a problem, because I could always

(3) hi all - i'm going to make this brief. my CMS (drupal 5.0) and forum (SMF 1.1.1) cannot connect
to the mysql db. however their files CAN still be accessed. I also tried uploading a file through an
ftp client and the file could be accessed. HOWEVER: cpanel cannot be accessed either. it simply
