First off, let's talk about muscle. You can have the biggest arms the world has seen and you can be a big wimp when it comes to tackling someone. Why? How many people tackle using just there arms? Not too many, and if they do, they aren't going to have too many tackles that way. The secret is: the stronger your lower body (legs, stomach, etc.) to more harder that you will hit people when you are tackling them. Watch some football games, and you will see that most people on defense are moving their legs when they are tackling someone. That's because you have much more leverage in your lower body than in your upper body. It will always be this way, so you can drop the dumbell for the time being. Now that you know you need lower body strength to be more aggressive, let's talk about the proper technique that should be used. One of the most important things to remember is where you begin your tackle. Tackles that start too high are most likely going to result in you lying flat on your back, while the ball carrier is taking it to the house. The best place to start a tackle is near the hips. Make contact with your shoulder in the ball carrier's stomach...so they feel the hit the next play. After the initial contact, wrap your arms around the ball carrier and follow through with your tackle. When I say follow through, I do not me fall on the guy. I mean, crush him using muscle. Make him collapse like a deck of playing cards. If you follow these steps, you will complete over 95% of all the tackles that you attempt. Make sure you do squats! They work the lower body muscles, and will help you become a better tackler. You can still workout your arms, just focus more on lower body strength. Trust me, it's all well worth it once you get on the field and start punishing people.

Primarally your legs are usually around 3 x as Strong as your upper strength..and its easier to bulk up on your leg muscles also... i suppose some of the power from tackling with your legs is your thrustng power... for each stride and how far you push yourself off the ground..directly into sombody...thatw ould play a big part in it i suppose. and thats my input !!

Many times if you look over history there have been controversial incidents within football, mainly
goals, should football, FIFA, UEFA, or the FA try and bring in new forms of technology to get these

so heres the thing.. ive been watching the AFL because there is no real football on right now...
and i cant believe they call this football!! if you ask me, the AFL is where the wanna

So i have ( for an unknown reason ) been reading and watching quite a bit of American Football
related Fiction ( Bleachers and Playing for Pizza by John Grisham and Friday Night Lights, Remember

American mean? 2: When Teams win a State title, doe they then go on to a competition between the
other State title winners to find the best in the country? 3: why are the plays so scripted, can
they not make it up on the fly? 4: In "Varsity Blues" the QB gets the clock to stop b...

Favorite College Football Team?
- (7)
Who is your favorite college football team & why? My favorite college football team has to be the
West Virginia Mountaineers. Mostly because i'm from West Virginia & I grew up watching them.
Whenever they are playing I always have this wierd adrenaline from watching them. No other sports
team ever gives me that kind of feeling, if any team comes close to doing that to me it would have
to be the Cincinnati Reds. I guess it might just be because thats the only team I love to watch &
can't miss a game. I also love going to the West Virginia Mountaineers football g...
Need Tips On Training For Soccer

I've been playing soccer for about 9 years now and ive mainly been defense. Im a fast runner but
dont have a great amount of endurance. I currently have a broken left collarbone, so i cant play in
any serious games. A few nights ago i was playing 3 on 1 (diamond or man in the middle) and i was
megging people, and everyone was saying i had amazing ball control(not to flatter myself). This
really got me thinking about the soccer league im going to be joining in the spring. I would really
like to move up to mid-feild or a further up position then defense. Starting in no...
Early- Bird Football Conditioning

Hello all, I am going to try out for school football this year! Tomorrow morning is Early Bird
Conditioning, and I am debating whether-or-not to go. It is from 6:10 AM to 7:05 PM (before
school).I like the early in the year part, but not the early in the day part. Should I go to this or
just go and do the regular conditioning in? I always like the extra practice, but I can't get up
early. What do you think I should do?...

High School Football
- (3)
How many high school football fans do we have in here? If you ask me there is nothing like it in the
world, especially if you played it growing up. I currently play on a high school football team and
it has been one of the best experiences. Dont get me wrong, its a lot of hard work. But in the end
it is all worth it. My team, Jemison Panthers (Alabama) is a 4a school, which is a good size school
but not too big. We went 7-4 this year, and lost in the first round of the playoffs. What do you
guys like about high school football?...
