| | I'm just curious. I started with Proboards, used Invisionfree (but stuck with proboards), used a source code called Radiance 0.1.1, but it got hacked, so I went back to Proboards, used a source code called WhiteFyre, abandoned it, went back to proboards, and now, I'm fixing up radiance 0.1.4, and it seems permanent.

I concur. My old site I ran myself, and the forum also. I don't imagine how it would be like to technically "own" your board, but only be like the moderator of it (even though you have webmaster capabilities) It's not the same feel as logging in to your forum and thinking "Heh, I could just delete this whole thing right... NOW!" lol. If you're the sinister minded type.

I have the vbulletin software, I just haven't been bothered to install it yet. I hear the PHPBB Plus is the latest creation. However, what is so different between that and the normal PHPBB?

I owned an Invision Power Board (Trial) quite some time ago. I set it up myself on Illusionfxnet, its now gone as they had stopped giving free hosting. I rather spend some time doing all the work by myself than getting an account at InvisionFree or something else similar to that. The fact is, you get full control over the message board, you can do whatever you want, at your own risk . Besides, there won't be any forced ads on your site if you set up the board by yourself. Now I've set up another Invision message board, but i'm running out of ideas on what should i do with it. I'm actually deciding to give phpBB a try, although Invisions' working well for. *Always lookin for something new *

Boy, this is a new one for me. I know enough about the Web to know that it is possible to detect the

I also don't think this is right, but has anyone else ever seen the situation I am about to

Free Message Board Needs Php
- Can I have it? (27)
I found a free message board for my site, where I can have my Google ads there, instead of Proboards
ads, but it requires PHP, which I know nothing about. I don't believe my host, Doteasy.com,
supports PHP on its free sites. Does Trap17? If so, could I host my message boards, here, and link
from my Doteasy site? The software I'm looking at is YABB. Here's the link: Yet Another
Bulletin Board It also mentions CHMOD and Perl--I don't know those, either. Should I give it
up or is it possible for somebody like me to do this?--I do know HTML. TIA, Suz...
