Zero, I have 1 80gb harddrive, I need all the space on it... I had multiple harddrives at one point, but I rarely used the extra HDs... and since I'm not running a server, there was no point, so I just used the extra HDs to build some extra comps.

I'm old school, I don't consider it a partition unless there are more than one. I'm just used to the days where you need to have partition magic to create partitions rather than doing it through the windows install disk.
Well, I have 2 hdds...
on one, i have 3 (linux - root/, home/, swap) second, i have 2 (win - C:, D:)
I have 5 harddisks, al with only one partition. They just seem to last forever, so they just get ferried to the next computer when I ugrade!
i despise partitions, especially when your computer crashes and you have to re-install your os
on this computer i only have one with 55GB.
on my computer at college i have 2, one with 15G, the other with 25G ;p
I have 3 partitions one 80gb second 40gb third 120gb. Plus if you need to reinstall an OS it does not ruin ur data from the same drive that has a partition... It is split so u just delete one side and reinstall from there.
I have 2 hard disks. 1 40 GB and another form my old computer, 3.4 GB.
By the way, how do you even attach 5 hard disks? I thought the maximum is 2? Of course, exteral hard drives are another thing but for internal ones there can only be master and slave. Unless, you can have more than 1 slave? Please tell me aobut it. My HDD is barely holding out...I need to add a new HDD...! Latest Entries
Pays to do it before XP is installed
May i ask, how to you do it before an OS is installed? I have got a new Hardrive, which i was thinking of partioning (theres nothing on hardrive yet, haven't installed it etc) and i was thinking of installing WInXp on it, but how to you partion it b4 hand? Also, when you partion drives (i've never done it) does it make your pc have "virtual drives" (eg, i partion it into 3 drives, 10gb, 10gb, & 20gb) when i go into My computer afterwards, would there be C drive 10gb, D drive 10gb, E drive 20gb etc) Also, if i install the OS on on the the partions, can it freely use the other partins? (say i wanna install a game, can i choose to install it on a differerent partion) also, if you wanna format 1 partion, can you do this without stuffing up the files on other partions? thanks
I have 2 partitions. D: 80gb and C: 40gb
I have four. One for different software programs, another for my mediocre creations, one for my school projects and another for games. Roughly around 10GB per partition.
i have 4 on my 80 GB drive
C: for windows D: for programs E: for personal junk F: for scratchdisks then in the E drive i have 4 PGP disks.
