| | In alot of websites i see, they have custom little icons, like trap17, im using IE and in the little browser bar on the left on the home page, itts a custom icon, and its the same thing in my favorites menu, some sites with just regular ones is the little E with the page in the backround, and i was wondering how do you get it custom? |

yes. but what do you mean? just the <http://yoururl/favor.ico">? why my ie don't get that? that is using so much ? oh i'm not sure. then I think if you wanna made it. it's simple Photoshop can do it.

you can do it with many graphic programs - photoshop, paintshop, fireworks etc... but i think you have to save it as a .png.

That would be pretty neat. Or will that only work too if the page has been bookmarked?

There's always so much misinformation spread every time the topic of favicon has come up, and it comes up pretty often. Kraam, it is an ICO file, not a PNG. Guangdian, I never have any idea what you're trying to express. The two dudes with code are both correct, but their solutions may not work for all browsers. Here's a cross-browser solution I learned a long time ago: CODE <link rel="icon" href="http://domain.com/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://domain.com/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon"> Make sure you name your file "favicon.ico". It definitely works for Internet Explorer and Gecko-based browsers [Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, Konqueror, generic Linux browsers, etc]. Be warned that IE is always finicky about these icons, though.

An Icon Issue
Win XP desktop icons take ages to show (7) Hi, first of all, a very Happy New Year to everyone. Now for my problem: I use Win XP SP2 on a 2.8
Ghz dualcore P4 processor machine, 1 Gb RAM, 250 Mb HDD. Whenever I boot up, or even when I return
to the bare desktop after having had a number of windows open for a while, my icons on the desktop
are all blank ones, such as the ones you get when there is no program associated with a certain
file. Then, one by one, they begin to get the appearance they should have, but it is a real drag

Sound Notification In Browsers Not Working
(2) On my XOOPS support site, www.warpigw2.com, I have a web based live help application to communicate
with my customers. When someone clicks on the Live Help image and enters their information it is
suppose to give a sound notification that someone is waiting. It used to work fine, and I do not

the taskbar didn't appear. I tried unchecking and re-checking the "Show icon in notification
