| | Well its been awhile since I last posted here (I think), but since I have a new service provider thanks to comcast take over of adelphia I got a much faster connection this time YEAH!!! Boy is it fast I got to spike my download speed at 5616 kbps, upload is a bit on the slow side which is hovering between 300-600 kbps. I could spend some extra money and bump it up to 8 MBps for even more speed wooo. |

Now I envy you guys with top speeds. I only have a 512kbps connection. Well atleast I have unlimited use with no extra charge other than the monthly rental (which i find very economical).

You just have to google check internet speed but here is a link that will tell you everything you need to know; like where your speed is compared to others and what not. http://www.speedtest.net/http://myspeed.visualware.com/CNET BW Testthese are just a few of the sites you can find, there is also a firefox plug in that can test for you as well, but can't think of the name for it though. However, to get an accurate picture you need to have stuff like messenger clients close and nothing being downloaded or uploaded, because it will show you a false reading and it that won't help.

I live in the US and its 4003kbs but my isp connection in my area sucks.. so lol is this considered spam.. because its one line.. i dont want it to be, but i am going to get optical fibers for my internet, (aol a think) and it is suppposed to be FAST

768kb I used to have 56k for a real long time. So the jump from that to this is great for me. It's plenty fast I guess. But I do wish I had like 10mb. That would be super awesome. I just wish I had faster upload speeds really. Download speeds are okay for me. I just hate waiting hours to upload pictures to my photo gallery on my website

man my broadban connection suddenly ceased so I now have to use the isp's emergency dialup plan, but its ok, 56k I don't find it that slow, though before I was getting speeds of up to 4mbps

Can't stay connected (6) I would really appreciate any ideas/sugestions for my current computer problem. I am on dial up,
it has always been very slow, but for the past few weeks I have first off, had a TERRIBLE time
getting a connection, and then when I finally do get one, I frequently get kicked off in a few

(9) i dont really know what the problem is, but like every 3 minutes my internet connects stops, then
goes back up after like 3 secs. i am not sure if a cable might be faulty, my modem or one of my
routers is bad. here is the stuff i use dsl provider-->modem-->dynex router-->2 computers and
another router-->my wireless router-->my computer and laptop i am not sure what the problem is,
seeing as just yesterday it was fine. but before that sometimes it would go out, but not as often,

Connection Problems
(5) im not really sure why this is happeneing. Firstly, let me explain how this is all set up I have a
cable modem, which has a cord going into my wireless router, and also into my desktop. now last
night, i was on the desktop, and my dad was on his laptop using the wireless internet. both of us

have like the top 10 ways in tips or whatever on how you can tweak you registry to make your

program called TCP Optimzer for you interenet connection speed...before i downloaded this client my
internet connection really sucked heh...around 4000-5000 kbps and after i used it it went up
10000-12000 kbps...pretty big jump huh it really good for me.. so now when i download something....

Trouble Hosting Programs Over Internet
Need help, tried everything! (2) Approximately every half an hour anyone connected to me is disconnected. There is no trouble
establishing the connection and it runs smoothly till sudden disconnection. There is no problem with
someone connecting through the local are network. I believe it is something with my router, but I
can't find anything. I use a DI-604 Ethernet Broadband Router, my computer has McAfee security
center and I also have windows XP home edition firewall on. I've tried turning off both McAfee
and windows firewall, along with using DMW which supposibly opens all ports in my route....

help!! (6) okay, so here's my problem...i am running on 3mb of connection and i am having trouble dling soo
slow...my dl rate use to be about 150-500kbs from www.yousendit.com. when i was using an ethernet
wire. I am now using a wireless linksys and so when i dl from yousendit..the speed is ranged from
50-100kbs..same mp3 file..i've tested...got sooooo slow!.....so a few days i was working with an
ethernet..and the connection was wayy faster than this wireless...any suggestion on how to handle

Please help (6) Well I have a linksys router and have cable internet. Sometimes my internet goes out and I almost
always have a sucky connection. It was not always like this, it just started happening. What I did

Wow... where do I start? (3) Ok I have to basic issues. 1)- When I startup my computer, in order to connect to my DSL access, I
need to go into the command prompt and type "net start dhcp server" Otherwise I end up with all

connection... The internet is very slow when 2 or 3 computers are connected to the internet,
especially when a onlinegame is running on an other computer. But when I try to play games online
