Thanks a lot dude , and still i have a doubt here , in youtube if i stream a particular video Fully and then if i use any 3rd party sites to download the video then it seems to be an instatanious download , and some times it does not happen , can you tell me why ? and moreover streaming holds good with my bandwidh so that i stream and then save my file instataniously.

This could be very helpful for sure.

I have an alternative though... Download and install the latest version of RealPlayer (version 11), it'll install an add-on to your browser which will allow you to download ANY video you find on a website (even on YouTube or Facebook.. etc) so have fun

Ah, nice tutorial. Yet another way to download youtube videos. Usually I just google it and the first page will come up a site where you can just input the link and it will let you download it.

Sounds good, although I tend to use the alternative as said by a previous poster. Have a version of realplayer that allows the downloading of videos from various sites.

Quality nice little tip. I will use this lots.

Does anyone know where i can find and download some of the songs they put on youtube. Like the remix ones. I cant find them anywhere.

That's nice but another easy way is to download vidloader, a firefox plugin.
It's very easy, simply click the link i put for you -> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2390

Hey, nice tutorial. Really useful tip. I personally use a youtube-to-mp3 or youtube-to-mp4 converter. I guess this method doesn't require any downloading.

I use multiple methods to get videos from YourTube.

Method 1: (No Plugins)

* View the complete YouTube video you want to download in IE (any version).
* Once you've watched goto "C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\",
where "C:" is the drive where you've installed Windows and [USER] is you current username.
* Sort the files in Alphabetical order.
* copy the files begining with the name "get_video" to a folder and rename them with an extension ".flv"
* Thats it your are done. You can open the .flv file with Riva FLV Player or Media Player Classic or VLC Player.

Method 2: (Real Player)

* Download RealPlayer 11 from http://www.real.com/player/
* Open the YouTube video in Firefox or IE. When you hover over the video you'll get a tool tip with text "Download with RealPlayer"
* Click on the tool tip to begin downloading the video. By default the videos downloaded will be stored in "My Documents\My Videos\RealPlayer Downloads".
* You can view the video in RealPlayer itself. The downloaded videos are automatically added to the Media Library for your access.

Method 3: (downloadyoutubevideos.com)

* Go to the YouTube the video you want to download.
* Copy the URL for that video from the address bar.
* Go to http://www.downloadyoutubevideos.com/ and paste the copied URL in the text box and click on "Download"
* You'll get a link for the download. Right click on it and select Save the Link to save the file to your hard disk.
* Don't forget to save with a .flv extension.
