how that is a so cool way..but until now i just know that : IE > tools > Internet options > clear the history records, > deleted the temp files.. then teh temp would be cleaned.is that right?
No. i do not use IE..but from the looks of it that only clears the Temporary Internet files..which is a file that stores all of the images that you have seen on the web etc..
Or you could use ccleaner from here which lets you clear out temp folder, temp folder for your internet browser and history files for your internet browsers and applications.
or you could also take another route that shows your cookies, recent docs, and any other temp file. C:/Documents and Settings/*your folder*/Local Settings/
then you can go to individual folders partaining to Temp files, Cookies, and whatnot, then you can Ctrl-A Del them all. the only harm that comes out of clearing your temp files is that everytime you log into a site, you have to retype your username and pass if you have it on auto-remember.. which doesnt really bother me one bit. :-D

Hey thanks for the great tips everyone. I also like to add that the *relly* big files are located in C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\Local Settings\Temp . This folder is user by most programs for storing tempoaray files. You can do a lot of cleaning up here.
yup, there are MANY ways to make the computer run fast, could be as easy as cleaning out temp folders to having to find a specific virius fix online because your virius scanner does not fix that type of virius it all just depends on what you do online hehe
