| | Protein shakes, building muscle, and eating a lot at meals too. There's no point in eating unhealthy food just to gain weight like some people said. You'll just be worse off than you started. Just eat more and work out. This will increase your metabolism, but if you eat more, these will balance themselves out, plus you will have gained some healthy weight.
Also if you are really concerned about your weight, I know a friend who got some help from a nutritionist. |

plus it depends on what you want to add. if you want to add lean weight then you should take Muscle Milk. that stuff works wonders. it has zero transfatty acids. it is great for body building and packing on the pounds with muscle.

Hmm, I always get this sense of deja vu when answering this question, hehe, don't ask me why. Anyway, do try not to become fat, once you put one weight, especially on areas like the stomach, hips, etc. it's very difficult to get it off. Try the protein drinks etc. that some people have mentioned, and WORK OUT with weights, preferably (if possible) in a gym where you'll have the guidance of an instructor. Please go in for 'muscle' weight if you want to put on weight, not fat, it's healthier. Try doing the three major mass building weight exercises - bench press, shoulder press and squats. They actually trigger production of your body's natural growth hormones. Increase the weight you lift in these exercises as much as you can over time. You can check out this tutorial I put up for a guy who wanted to put on mass too... Three best mass-increasing exercisesHope this helps a bit. Great advice by plenoptic, by the way.

its the first time I ever see someone say that he wants to gain weight lol! to be honest I don't know how you can do that but probably if you eat a little bit more.just don't throw yourself is candy, chocolate and stuff. you want to gain weight but stay healthy right??LOL if you're a person who does a lot of exercise maybe you should do that a little bit less.

Join the military. I gained about 30 pounds in six months. It was all muscle, so I didn't have any complaints Okay, so that's not right for everyone. Like others have suggested, building muscle is a good, healthy way to gain weight. Don't start any bad habits, like overeating or going for fatty foods. Those habits will only come back to bite you later.

Yup, putting on the wrong kind of weight is definitely unhealthy. Doctors have found that the much touted BMI is a much less accurate indicator of how healthy you are than how much larger than normal your waistline is. Studies have found that putting on fat in the stomach area is extremely unhealthy, and is directly linked to heart-disease and hypertension in many cases. Also, fat around the belly is very hard to get rid off as fat cells in this region actually secrete substances to 'protect themselves' so that the body 'burns them off' only as a last resort. So just eating to get fat quick will definitely cause problems that will come back to you later in life. However, IF you're really determined to do this just drink PLENTY of beer, you'll put on weight AND get a nice beer belly in no time at all (don't take that seriously, I'm NOT advising you to do that, hehe, but yeah, it gets the results mentioned).
