hi i need some help ... ive started learning php a few weeks ago ... but now ive found a tool called phpnuke ... ive read about it and it says that it is to make dynamic webpages very easy ... i think that stuff is like a wizard to creat website or something like that ... so if there is already a tool i want to know how useful is to know php ??? and how useful and customizable is phpnuke???

we;; my knowledge pf nuke its more managerial then website producing, its very customizeable but skins are hard to come by at least from what i have been searching. best thing to do is go to the phpnuke.com i think and you can find all the mods that go with it.

I believe its something like a portal for your site which allows you to create anything like a side navigations to your entire site...

However, its said that its not customizable with the famous Invision Power Board which will add a point to you that its not that flexible...

PHPNuke is a CMS (content managment system) you basicaly install it, and its all database driven, you can add new pages, it has built in link dorectory system, built in gallery system, built in downloads system, and is very easy to use, some sites that use it are:

PHPNuke is all right if you're a beginner, but it's starting to become really cliche. Everyone can basically install the program, and make it seem that they know a lot of PHP. Code a site from scratch if you want to impress. :-/ That's just my two cents.

The Content Management Systems are used for a general purpose.But it may not be suitable for all the web applications you create.However I learned many of the PHP techniques through PHPnuke.Just install PHPnuke and play with the php files,you will definitely learn PHP easily.

The Sims Zone is one of the largest and longest running sims websites, i dont think they have upgraded their phpnuke in years lol

I suggest you to use Php-fusion instead... It's better and easier to use. Configuration is basically the same. I've tried both of them (PHPNuke and PHPFusion), but the PHP-Fusion is more "cooler" for me, I mean it's more effective, reliable. Try it!

thnx a lot i have to try it .ººº ... this days ive been working with php nuke is very easy to use buti have a problem with mails ... all the modules that send an email failed ... the email never arrives ... i was reading in some phpnuke forums and what they say is that maybe the php function that send the emails is not enabled ... sameone can help me ...
