Well after a long time when I thought Trap17 was down ive finally came onto well logged onto Trap17 Forums because I thought they were down, Now my site is buggered so im going to delete it and make a new Sub Domain, Now to get to the point.
See when you create a sub-domain for your site hosted with Trap17 and in Cpanel you can create sub-domains for your site, are they PHP enabled or only just a simple Sub-Domain ? But I know it has a CGI-Bin
and can you give me a tutorial on how to create a good template, in other words a good Website lol
If anyone could teach me on how to create a brilliant template and even a few pointers on PHP, MySQL etc. because when you look at all these sites there Index page is PHP then u browse the site and it comes out as blabla.php?=cat1&bla bla bal etc. how do i get that, I Know its to do with the scripts you have on your site but, Heres a site that is good Snildudes site, Nearly every Fellow Trap17'er has visited his site its #1 because its jam packed with fun stuff to do. and hes got good PHP Pages Here is what I need to know
1. How to create a Good PHP Template for my Personal Site ? 2. A Few pointers on PHP, MySQL ? 3. How to create a Successful Site ?

That ?act=bleehehe is called , well I think it's called, dynamic something. I've forgotten. It just makes a website have like lesser pages I think.. for eg.. one whole page can have like 5 different pages within.. with out making seperate ones. I think that's what it is.. I'mstill beginner.. And if you don't know ANY mysql at all.. or how to set it up.. then heres what I wrote in a previous post .

Anyways. so what is the point in making sites? - well obviously it's for the viewers out there, so it must be aesthetically pleasing to do eye. And must contain some "interesting" content. - but you probably know that already.
Colors. - must at least match or somewhat look O.K together. eg.. a yellow page and white font is a NO NO.. that's just the basics everyone knows. Try stuff that is unique, vibrant yet not too over the top Organised - don't really want a cluttered site, it's hard for you to edit and hard for the viewers to roam around. - a nice simple layout will do,it does not have to be fancy or what nots. - there is no need to go all "atsy craft" if you don't know how to make anything nice.. a no image layout is OK. just as long it's a VERY nice 'no image' layout. PHP Layouts A php layout does not need to consist of HARD coding. A very nice site can just be built on the basics. so don't go copying a load of coding and not knowing how to use it right.. plus ONE mistake in PHP can cause MANY MANY problems..so be careful

Any good ones that a free and good and easy to update ! if so please, please put the site here that has it availible for download or if it is a News Provider that is Self-Hosted and you need to just register to it, please put the site down, lol
Hmmmm...... I need some help with domains, im not 18 yet so I cannot register a domain, the only thing I can do is get a FREE DOMAIN if thats possible but I dont want to enter Surveys and to get visitors or that junk, it would be better to just get 50 credits and you can get a .com or a co.uk etc.
So the only domain I can get is Domain Fowarders like cjb.net/.tk/uni.cc/co.nr or just the trap17 subdomain

+ cute news is also fully PHP amd sometimes when the MYSQL is down CUTENEWS will still be up and running good. + there are also hacks and mods to easily install for this mod.

Hi, my website was created with Frontpage 2003. At screen resolution 1024 * 768. Now the problem
that I am finding is people with a screen resol. 800 * 600 see the table and everything in the wrong
place and its all messed up. Is there a way to make it so the site is compatiable with all screen

Yesterday my host request was approved. Today i was making the website and i tried to host a forum.
The website theme is programming, helps, guides, computing, tutorials on different programming
languages. And i realised that a forum is more handy for helps and tutorials, and the users can help

I'm going on vacation today, and I counted up the number of days that I will be gone, which is
19 (I'm fairly sure) and I checked that with the number of credits I now have in store. I
realized that I would have about seven left after my trip and I realized that I wasn't exactly
sure how many credits were required to keep an account set as "active" because I have heard many
different numbers from both other users and moderators ranging from 5 to 10 and I was just wondering

I just registered a new domain but since it is my very first time and have not worked with domains
before I'm wondering what I have to do to get the new domain to point at my website here at
trap17.com. If somebody could give me a real basic roundup of how the process with DNS and
nameservers works and what I need to do so that if i type www.myfancynewdomainname.com in the
adressbar of my browser i get my webpage here at trap17.com that would be awesome....
concerning my recent application for a default credit account, I somehow managed to enter a xxxx.com
for the "requested address" instead of xxx.trap17.com. I think I was just fiddling around with the
text fields and forgot to go back and change that feild before I hit the submit button. By then, it
was too late and my credits reverted to "days" and I can't create a new hosting address.
I'm afraid to do the "terminate account" because then I'd have to start over from scratch.

Hi, I am running a phpBB Forum - the one that I got from my cPanel. There is something that I want
to be able to do and I am unsure how to do it. It is similar to what Trap 17 has when a Moderator
Edits a post and places a message in the post in the Box. I want to be able to have my Moderators

Hi all, Heres the latest in the browser display problems. Updated my homepage via ftp. -(deleted the
old home page in the "www" & "public_html" folders & the ROOT directory "_sgt" & "_sgg"
folders..before ftp'ing the update). Verrified that all new homepage updates had the correct
"last modified" date (ie. the server was showing the newest version I just updated in all file
folders which were previously deleted). Homepage uses HTML with CSS & tables only- no php or

Hi all, PROBLEM: The animated gifs on my webpage aren't animated when you view the page with IE
ver6.0 but ther ARE animated when you view the page with Netscape Navigator ver 7.2. Does this have

OK basicly I made an IBP board and created a new group and joined that group. This subsequently(sp)
moved me out of root admin group BUT it won't let me move back into root admin group. So basicly

I am trying to upgrade my site to postnuke .75 (so I could install a couple of .75 only modules like
better polling etc). I installed a new sql database, made a new user for the database with password
and gave him all the permissions. Now when I try to connect to the database with php/sql it simply
refuses access. I am using the correct username/password combination. I don't get it. What could
I be doing wrong? anyone?...
I've had a hard time trying to find info on this through search engines...just try google or
ixquick and you'll see what I mean. I'd like to know how some addresses do not require the
www prefix, such as xrs.net . I once heard that as long as you have been to the website before,
with typing the w's, it will automatically add them for you, but xrs.net doesn't require
them at all. Any help would be good, thanks......
